I recommend this place for simple authentic vietnamese fare-sandwich, noodle bowl, pho, & red tea.

Really great sticky rice and chicken, with fresh ingredients and quick preparation. I'm amazed more people don't come in here; my wife had a solid banh mi as well. Very nice owner, friendly and engaging. I can't believe that more college students don't know a good deal when they see one.

Well, sorry to everyone who thought positively about this place. Based on my experience here, I have to give it a one star. I came to this restaurant after work around 6PM. Parking was easy to find at this time in downtown Fairhaven. As I entered the store, I realized that I was the only person eating there. The server was standing outside and taking a break. I would say that he was polite once I decided to place my order of sticky rice with chicken. The food came out after about 5 minutes but was not what I expected. The shredded chicken was meager and the cook added Chinese pork sausage and pork sung on top. For those of you who don't know, these are processed meat and much cheaper. I do not like to eat these processed meat due to health reasons (they are not good for you, especially those coming from China, where food safety laws are lax). Did I misread the menu? I went back to check the menu and saw that underneath was a description of the food but nowhere does it mention pork sausage and pork sung. I hope this is not a case of trying to mislead customers. Then I decided to switch to a different item on the menu and got the beef noodles. The owner of the store came out and starting prepping that dish without gloves or washing her hand! Well, I was ravenous and still ate the dish. What could possibly be the worst case? I figured this probably happens at 90% of the restaurants in the back but seeing it occur right before eating is still a little disconcerting. The noodle did taste good, give them credit. The last grip I had of this place is that it was full of fruit flies. The employees here blamed it on their neighbors but the bottom line is the flies are here and I'm eating here. There were some in the chili and soy sauce bottle, prompting the server to swap them out from my table. If he didn't, I would have eaten some dead fruit flies for dinner. Yum!

Very good dishes. I recommend the sticky rice dish. Nice fresh ingredients. I'm glad I discovered this place!

Excellent Vietnamese sandwiches, combining fresh ingredients and flavorful sauces. The shrimp spring rolls were also very good and very fresh. As good as I've had in Oakland CA Chinatown or 19th Ave in SF Sunset !!!
