This place is absolutely horrible. Owner Janet isn't even a hair stylist just sits back and profits off others. Was kicked out because my camera to clock in was broken and was given instructions to download a separate app to clock in by administration, and once they realized the app they told me to download was wrong I was kicked out. My sister had recently passed away and I was grieving, the owner looked up ,my sisters obituary.. pretty disgusting if you ask me. If you live in the Bay Area go to Paul Mitchell ! The difference between these two schools is night and day the people at Paul Mitchell actually care and prep you for the real world and take the time to help you. When I asked for help at jd I was accused of "not paying attention" they truly are really gross and only care about profit. Go to Paul Mitchell if u value your education and want to succeed! Please trust me ! I've spoken to multiple people about jd and all say they don't care about there students. I was there for 4 months and would constantly be on my phone because there was nothing to do I couldn't even take clients 4 months in..at Paul Mitchell it's been 6 weeks and I'm currently taking clients, at Paul Mitchell I'm always busy and having a blast! Teachers are relatable not a 60 year old woman that you have nothing in common with.
I received such an amazing education here! The best school and the nicest people. I passed my state board with ease and felt so prepared!
Had my first facial (ever) at JD and many more since. The VIBE right from the moment you walk in the front door until you leave is engaging, pleasing, and inspiring. Exceptional staff and program, it shows in the students quality of the work, you really feel apart of something more. Going now for hair cuts too. Definitely worth visiting to spice up your routine.
