JCPenney in Toledo, OH

The Salon at JCPenney's is huge. I would have loved to see the activity at the hairstylists' stations thirty, forty years ago. Today, we were walk-ins. We did have to wait for a stylist to finish a client and take a break. We could have waited on chairs behind the wall in the salon. We found nice chairs in mens' shoes next door. Once my sister got in the chair the man cut a nice short style. He was very personable. The manager was kind. We purchased hair products that were on sale, tipped the stylish, paid and left happy.

If you are big and tall, this is one of the few places to carry tall items. The selection is somewhat limited, so you have to make do with what you can. I find some great items that easily mix in with other items. The prices are decent and they usually have a coupon on the app. The service is pretty fast with the exception of returning items.

Brand names with great prices and even better sales. You can get great deals with rewards card member. My go to place for Izod and Levi's. They have extra large sizes available also!

On the one hand, JCP is clearly past its heyday. The aesthetics are somewhat tired. And there's nothing that differentiates it from its peers. But at this location, we had an AMAZING associate, Mildred, who greeted us as soon as we entered her department. She was personable and helpful, without being overbearing. On top of that, we found some awesome deals on kids clothes. And we've noticed that their private label kids brand, Okie Dokie, is really solid. Nice style, good fit, and durable.

I was just wondering why you don't send birthday cards out anymore with a gift card in them, I really thought that was a nice idea and I have not received one in two years now.
