JCPenney Salon in St. George, UT

Just went in and walked around the store went to walk out and they locked customers in the store wouldn't open the doors because they are closed and can't let their customers out. Didn't even make an announcement after they told us they did. 5 of us customers asked to be let out and as soon as they told us no. Shut all lights off and then made the announcement saying they are closing. How rude is this town going to be !?! If this is how to mall is going to treat their customers count me out. JC PENNY EMPLOYEES WERE RUDE ASF.

A few good, sales, nice clothing but not too many cashiers so it was a bit of wait since it was a check out and customer service in one shot.

There hair Salon is the worst . How they can get away with charging $120 for a color and haircut is beyond me . For that price I should not have to pay to go somewhere else and have it fixed . They turned my hair orange and no one believed I got it professionally done by the way it looked ! I have done better doing it myself . So disappointed paying that much and hating it! I will give them credit though the lady did come in and try to fix it the next morning but it still was awful looking . For the prices they charge go somewhere else or you will be paying a lot for unhappiness .

So apparently if you're in JCPenney after close at 8pm they will lock you out of the rest of the mall! I had just walked in didn't realize they close earlier then the rest of the mall.. when someone came on the intercom saying the doors where locked expect one which went to the outside.. (I still had shopping to do) and then before I even left lights were being shut off. I've worked in retail/management for over 10 years and I am pretty patient and understanding but that is horrible costumer service...

My review is for the Sephora Grand Opening this morning. Sephora did not have it's own Yelp page but since it is inside part JCPenny it is associated with them.... So I feel the event was poorly planned and managed! I am a mom of 2 small children but still arrived several hours before to get a spot for the 100 gift cards being given out. I am already a Sephora Beauty Insider, originally from California who had to go to Las Vegas for nearest Sephora since moving. So imagine my excitement when I found out St George was opening one, even though on a smaller scale. Thats ok, I was still excited!
But 1st complaint, I received my Grand Opening notice via email from the Red Cliffs Mall itself and NOT from Sephora. There was no information on where to line up. So when I arrived outside JC Penny door, I was there with about 5 other confused people in their cars not knowing if we were the only ones. So since I had my 2 little ones, I stayed in the car for a little bit. Once I went up to the door, there was a small paper on door saying to go in thru another entrance. Once I got inside actual mall, I found out I was safe! My place was in the 90's and I was ok! Well no!....
2nd complaint: So many people were cutting! Everyone's excuses (yes I did speak up) was that they were just "keeping family company and why cant I just sit here with my sister?" Well because its honestly not my responsibility to babysit and make sure all those people get back out of line when the door opens. Not fare to all those people who tried hard to get one of those 100 spots. Sephora should have given out 100 tickets to those people when they arrived. They also should've had staff watching. They made sure to have employees come out for pictures, sign them up for the Beauty insider and for a credit card. They could've spared a few to monitor the line. I'm disapointed and thought me showing up with my little ones was a waste of time. And I came prepared with tablets and candy for them. A mommy being prepared is HARD WORK!!!! I didnt shop much at Ulta before moving to St George, have always been a California Sephora girl, but my experience has been much better at Ulta plus I have way more coupons from them. So nothing encouraging me to go back to this Sephora. Not worth my time....
