JCPenney in Okemos, MI

This review is specific to the salon I got my hair done with my aunt the worker who provided the service is Hope I will never be getting my hair done by anyone else she had a super fun and vibrant personality. The price was good and she is amazing at talking. The salon offers a ton or different services and I would say it is everything you could want hair wise and the products that were used felt very nice.

While this JCPenney doesn't rate highly on my list, I will say that the staff has always been very helpful and kind. The two star rating doesn't reflect the customer care you receive here. JCP offers some great deals & steals and I like to stock up on things during those times. However, this location is not the place to do so. Every time I come I am so disappointed with the selection, available sizes etc. It always looks like there's just been a huge blowout sale and millions of people trampled through the store leaving remnants of items behind. Things are scattered, it's not very organized etc. Because of this, I simply shop online and if needed, pick up my items in store. I genuinely enjoy walking down aisles and perusing items etc. but this is not the place to do it.

I like this store. Selections sometimes have few sizes but they have a few really cute items from time to time. Great sales. Staff has always been nice.

This review is specific to the salon -- to anyone new to the area who are looking for a no-nonsense, quality haircut, please go elsewhere. I say this because my boyfriend went into this salon with good intentions to get a quick trim before our vacation and the poor guy was aesthetically violated. There is no way this is the haircut he requested, unless he told her that he wanted it to look like his head was completely misshapen -- then she nailed it. We are now on vacation and he is going to pay for a second haircut to get it corrected. I strongly suggest going somewhere else for this service. Thank you for your time and consideration.
