This place is fine, but the "stylist" Christine should not be doing hair. I'd be surprised if she were licensed, she's definitely not experienced nor professional. She washed my hair into knots, then proceeded to comb from the top of my scalp down which tightened the knots! So badly so that one of them had to be cut out. She broke/damaged other hair yanking and forcing the comb through. Absolutely unprofessional, and should not be doing hair. DO NOT TRYST THIS PLACE, THIS WOMAN SURE SCREWED ME.

Had a yelp $20.00 for $35.00 service. The stylist, Erica, did an excellent job. Her consultation was very thorough. She made sure I understood what she was doing... The $35.00 included shampoo, conditioning treatment, cut and blow dry with round brush. Erica had a very professional attitude and was very pleasant. The salon was spotlessly clean. Today, at the Jaz Hair Studios, was a relaxing, enjoyable experience!

Don't buy their yelp deal of $20 for $35 service its a scam! I brought their deal and took an appointment, and got my hair done. They deny to accept the deal voucher saying that it's only for hair cut and blow dry, not for styling.

Found this salon via Groupon. Was a little leery at first, because when I called to schedule my cut for a Saturday, the person that answered told me they were wide open...not a good sign! However, when I arrived at 9:20am, I was pleased to see the salon buzzing and full. After relaying the story to my stylist, Candy, she explained they simply make all day available to new customers, which is a good policy, in my opinion. The salon is located in a plaza across from Chapel Hill Mall, and is nicely decorated. My stylist, Candy, was very nice and thorough with her consultation and cut. I plan to go back for my next cut, and perhaps highlights.
