Had a wonderful experience at Jack Nails! I just moved from California and I was trying to find a place that I can trust and I was super satisfied with my nails today!
I give this place a D- grade for sanitation issues. Their website says that they have plastic liners for the pedicure tubs.... I didn't see one liner used among six different clients. I watched one manicurist quickly spray disinfectant, but it was by no means a thorough job. Plus, Lysol or whatever will not remove skin cells and oils from the bowls. Yuck, yuck, yuck!!! If they are out of plastic liners, don't do pedicures until you have them! The lady who worked on me used an emery board that was shredding. No way did she sanitize that! Gross!!! I did not see any tools removed from their stations for sanitation. Does the Health Department ever check these places? I didn't notice until I left that both my big toes had pooled blood along the cuticle. I'm glad that I'm currently taking an antibiotic for an unrelated issue... hopefully, that will help stave off any bacterial infection I might have picked up here. I don't want to be completely negative. Some of the workers were friendly, and they are certainly hard-working. My lady did a decent job with the gel polish. Pricing was clearly posted, easy to understand, and fairly reasonable. But I cannot overlook the cleanliness factor. I chose this place because of the positive reviews I saw online. But I won't be back. My health is too important.
I heard only good things from Jack's. Unfortunate, not all good for me. I was told my nail plight was one color and it was something else. But, nails turned out okay. Something else was worse. What was the big issue was my technician attitude. I accidentally touched a nail that had been painted. She yelled out (not English) to another technician and spoke several moments in that language and shook her head. This hurt my feelings and embarrassed me in front of the other patrons. Yesterday's experience was humiliating.
Able to work me in same day. Clean, professional and reasonably priced! I took my 4 year old niece and they were great with her!
