J's Hair Salon in Sacramento, CA

I just love her! Finally, at last I found someone that knows what to do with my hair. Moving from the Bay, it was hard to find someone you can trust with your hair. Come see Malaiky, she awesome!

I am not from around here, I wasn't sure what I was walking into going into the salon. Believe me when I say I was not disappointed I absolutely love my hair she washed and styled my hair. She's very nice, one thing I do recommend before going is booking an appointment with her call ahead of time she's available . First time coming here I made the mistake of coming without an appointment but was nice enough to take me in . Happy that she did! Next time I am back Sacramento I will be coming back to her!

Went here for the first time for a haircut after being traumatized from another hair salon years ago and only cutting my hair at home. I loved it!! Great price, she washed and styled my hair. Gave me the exact cut and style I asked for. The owner is super knowledge about hair also and gave me lots of advice. Definitely coming back here. My before and after is amazing!

When it comes to a woman's hair going into a salon is like walking into uncharted land. You might come out with gold, or you might leave with your wallet plundered, and an arrow in your butt that will take time to heal. I don't know how to spell her name, but I'll spell it phonetically- "Thu" was just a joy. I am a mutt, half Laotian, and black so finding anyone to do justice for my hair is pretty scarce. I am turning 30 in less then a week and I wanted something new! My hair was virgin, and she knew how nervous I was. I brought my mommy who pushed me into finally, after a million years of talking about it, coloring it. Both made me feel super secure. I wanted honey blond, or caramel highlights, and she delivered them spot on. The whole process took about 1.5 hours. One thing I did not ask for was style. If you want her to style it make sure to let her know, and maybe bring in your own products. Curly girls know the science behind their own hair, and though most will say a salon should have what they need I have no qualms in educating. I ended up going home to quickly rehydrate my hair with my special concoctions. I did come back twice only because my mom felt I needed a little more lightness around the perimeter of my face, and "Thu" corrected it free of charge. We only paid for my trim the second time. If you want a laid back atmosphere, great conversation, and a beautiful coloring job "Thu" is your lady. Check her out!

Reasonable price and hair cut comes out amazing each time! I would recommend to make appointments to guarantee you a spot. Walk ins are welcome, but I like to know I have a for sure spot.
