The service was really great and everyone there was nice. The salon itself is nice as well but the treatment was just ok.
I scheduled an appointment with Dorshawn based on the reviews. The primary reason for my low rating is because of the wait; the salon wasn't crowded at all, but my wait time was extreme. Disappointed, as I was hoping to have found a new stylist, but this was an instant deal-breaker. The (tapered) style I had in mind was shot-down due to my hair's current (longer) length. I opted to just have it straightened, and that was done well. Considering the ridiculous wait (that she apologized for, and explained she had to do the hair of a family member...), I was hoping for a discount on services. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. P.S. Both the receptionist and Dorshawn were very pleasant. Also, I didn't realize the salon was located inside of an office building, and I ended-up passing it.
All around great staff and experienced stylist Dorshawn "Dyshiki" Watson was great with a beautiful personality.
Love this salon. Shawn does my cuts and I am never dissatisfaction. It almost time for another trim but I may get a different cut instesd. The salon is always clean and a nice relaxing environment.
Trying to find stylist who just gets you and your hair is so hard for me...I am all natural and was in the market for a stylist who could give me the look of the Dominican blow out with out the use of all that heat... Since doing a big chop my hair has grown so much!! So healthy and thicker than before- so my friend recommended Jbene to me...she frequents this place and recommended I try her girl Shay... Shay must be the bomb bc I every time I tried to schedule an appointment with her she was booked! I mean booked for months out! So my girlfriend also recommended Dorshawn (I think this is the correct spelling of her name...:/). When Shay isn't available that's who my girl go to and boy is she nothing short of AWESOME!!!! I look forward to my Jbene experience. It is a bit pricy- but very well worth it! From the shampoo!!!!! To the actual style experience- Dorshawn make me feel like million bucks every time! Hair so soft, silky and flows! Full of bounce!! Plus she has a cute little style of her own! Professional...& cute little salon that I guess I'll be factoring in a budget for ;) You get what you pay for! And J'bene is worth it...
