I came into J's with a bad haircut, hoping he could at least fix it. He not only did that , but gave me a superb short precision haircut. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff very friendly. And very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this salon!

Today I had a perm by Jason, it is by far the best perm I've had in decades! It's soft and just perfect. Jason is so professional, he listens to what you say and what you want. Because of his amazing skills I'm never concerned about what it will look like. I always just love it! If you are looking for someone who genuinely cares about you and wanting you to be happy and content then he's your guy! Even when he's busy he always makes time for a quick walk in and treats everyone with respect. He treats my hubby with such grace and kindness even going out to the car to say hello! I highly recommend J Beauty & Barber, and Jason!

I am so glad that I scheduled a cut and color. The owner evaluated my hair texture and color and I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks! Very affordable for a womens cut and color and I will definitely go back when I am back in town for work. This salon makes everyone feel welcome and like family.

So this review is just based on a mid 50's man needing a simple military style haircut. Searching yelp for the closest " barber"; this was the second closest. First one had a disconnected phone or out business. This place was small, nice, seemed clean. Staff was friendly. Good haircut. My only problem"call me old" but seeing "barber" in the title I wasn't expecting to pay over twice the amount I usually pay for a haircut. She was friendly and gave a good haircut so, yes, I still gave an appropriate tip. So not knowing the area and the fact it is a beauty 'parlor" (pardon if that's not a proper word nowadays for it, I am old and it was/is still proper to me) not knowing the going rates; this maybe deserving a better rating. It did remind me to next time ask price even if it says barber on the sign.
