J. C. Salon in Rosemead, CA

I used to pay alot of money for haircuts in K-town until I discovered this little gem in SGV. Don't let the unimpressive exterior fool you. They are true professionals and can cut, perm, color, pretty much style your hair however way you want to for a fraction of the cost of those fancy salons. The owner, Jason, works wonders and cuts my hair exactly how I want him to.

This place is really solid! My hair is above my shoulders and a cut is $12-$15 and a perm is $50-$60! They mainly speak mando/canto but I don't speak Chinese and it's been great! They're respectful and fair!

Lily is my new Barber in Rosemead. She cut all types of hair and styles. The first time I walked in it felt like every one in the salon stop to stare. I was skeptical at first, I told her look I wanted and she captured it. I was satisfied and my wife was thankful. The price for the cut is also very reasonable. I highly recommend J. C. Salon it's a good neighborhood experience. Ask for Lily tell her Omar sent You.

I was skeptical... I haven't been to an independent asian hair salon in years, Bc my personal experience is that I would never come out of the salon with what I actually wanted... but this has NOT the case! I recommend Jason! I brought a picture of what I wanted and it was pretty damn close! And for a fraction of the price... I've only ever communicated with him in Cantonese, but Ive heard him speak mandarin as well - Speaking English might be a lil tricky... I usually call a couple of days or a day in advanced and he usually is able to squeeze me in for an apptment. I usually park in the grocery store plaza right next to the salon, bc I prefer parking there instead of the street. Does he clean his tools after each client? Honestly, questionable... I usually go for a cut only... and he's usually pretty quick and I try to go home and shower ASAP afterwards lmao I guess you get what you pay for? My stars are based off the quality of the cut and service / friendliness! I also believe they are cash only!

Great place for children haircuts. $12 for kids and Jason takes his time and care, cutting my kid's hair. Does a great job and his prices are so reasonable. He is super sweet to kids and in general and offers a lollipop from his candy jar. He would be a 5 star but cleanliness is questionable. He sometimes does not sweep up the hair from the previous customer which I think is the bare minimum but you get what you pay for.
