Pro: high quality and reasonable price Con: long wait and the owner's attitude I been to this salon for serval times now and on average, they did a great job cutting my hair and straightening my hair. However, please note that there is usually a long wait for the services and especially during the weekend. The owner did a great job on the hair but needs improvement on how to communicate with customer patiently.

Only reason I give it 1 star is because Pam has a huge attitude problem overall she does great job with haircuts and waxing eyebrows been a very long time customer but she definitely needs to change the attitude with customers. I second with the previous review if you are Asian and speak their language they'll be sweet to you as sugar and when it comes to other people they are very rude. Today I took my son for a haircut she kept moving his head aggressively while cutting his hair without even talking. it felt really awkward I knew my son felt very uncomfortable too. After she was done I realized I was short of money and asked her if I can give her remaining $5 when I come back next week for my haircut she literally got impatient all of a sudden and yelled on my face my kids got really scared and she's talking about" your kids are watching you should teach them this is not right to bargain they will learn it from you" I wasn't bargaining I simply just Asked her because I was short of money. I guess She's the one who's teaching children and other people by how bad customer service is given and being loud on people's face. she could've just said no calmly and in a more lower tone. I really don't go to her anymore because of her attitude reason but my son really needed a haircut bad and the salon that we go to was closed unfortunately.

This place is hands down the WORST barber shop I've ever been to. One lady there was incredibly rude, I mean, rude to a level a customer can't even imagine. She would literally bleed you like it's nothing. You are not treated like a customer but some kind of meat... And this is not even the worst part. She got impatient easily, I told her what type of hairstyle I want, obviously she misunderstood it, but with her ridiculously ego, she thought she got it. After some time, when I told her she needs to cut my hair shorter, she started getting triggered, like it was my fault, like her time is more important than mine. WHAT A JOKE! Long story short, she finished the haircut with her month fulfill of s**t complaining, and told me I need to pay $18 instead of $15 because she did some extra work. Again, WHAT A JOKE! At this time, I didn't even want to talk to this lady anymore, but oh wow, she has no no sense of shame and telling me I NEED to tip her, like she's entitled to the tips even she did a sh*tty job and humiliated the customer. But what can you do? You know arguing is pointless once you meet this type of low level people. I left some tips on the counter and left. AGAIN, DO NOT EVER COME TO THIS PLACE, you don't want to deal with this level of people.

Pam does a good clean wax service, definitely coming back every time I need a wax. It doesn't say wax service on the page and people may think it is just a salon but there is! She also does eyebrow tattoos for a lot of customers already which is how my mom found out and got hers done. The eyebrow shape and process was smooth and was little to no pain for my mom.

Can't speak about women's hair here but for men's haircut , this hair salon is the best kept secret in all of portola. If you are looking for a professional and clean fade, you have to request for the Guy. He only works on Sunday and Monday. Pick only him. He gives the best men haircut.
