Helio Hair Studio in Seattle, WA

I went here once for a haircut and admittedly it was good. They were very thoughtful about keeping things clean and safe. But August who was on the phone made it seem like her studio was SO exclusive and that she was making a very special exception for me. Six months later, I get on the phone to schedule another appointment and August picks up again saying she'll give me the number of someone else who has the capacity? I wasn't scheduling an appointment for a week later - I was scheduling an appointment for a month later. Honestly it seems like she just wants to keep her current set of clients - she probably didn't recognize my voice and decided to turn me away. I only came here initially because it was within walking distance. I will be going back to my old hair stylist now that I can get around again. If you're a new customer and you want to try this place, don't bother. You'll likely get turned away.

Anne is amazing! Truly, she's the best! I'm soooo grateful I found her! :) She is highly skilled, meticulous, and knows her stuff. She gives a precision haircut every time and really listens to what I'm looking for and then makes the magic happen. She welcomes the pictures I bring (easier to show than tell), and then works with my fine hair, face shape and maintenance desires to create just the look I'm after. Her color is beautiful and so spot on that I hardly notice the grow-out. Now that I know and trust her, it's fun giving her creative license with my look. I'm loving my sassy, short, low-maintenance cut these days. Anne is a wonderfully wise, kind and compassionate soul whose chair is a treasure to occupy. She is one amazing human! She makes me feel right at home - complete with a cozy beverage and blanket when it's chilly. Love the playlist and relaxed vibe at Helio, too. I can't recommend Anne highly enough!

Very relaxing salon with talented stylists. I've been going here since they opened and always leave feeling great with a haircut that I love. You need an appointment to get in.

My first few years in Seattle I wandered from salon to salon attempting to find a stylist who could both cut and color my fine, straight hair. Sadly, I left each attempt feeling vaguely dissatisfied to slightly embarrassed by the outcomes. All of that changed when I found Anne. I have seen her for over five years now, and she is a wizard with precision cuts as well as incredible with achieving natural looking color. I honestly cannot recommend her enough. In additional to her technical mastery, she is genuinely pleasant to converse with and I always enjoy my time with her. The salon is extremely clean and well appointed, and while the stylists have varying schedules, everyone is always extremely friendly. As someone who needs to maintain a professional appearance, I have been ecstatic to find Anne. She always makes me look my best, whether I am seeking a perfect bob or feeling a bit more adventurous. Thank you, Anne, for such consistently fantastic cuts and color!

I can't rave enough about the haircuts and color I consistently receive from Anne at Helio. I've been her client for more than two years and always leave her studio looking and feeling gorgeous. She's a master with short haircuts like mine, but I've seen her do great things with other hair lengths as well. Not only is she an excellent stylist and colorist, but a vibrant, interesting and caring person as well. It's always a treat to see Anne.
