Evin @ Headwaves has been my go to color genius for the last 10 plus years!! They've embraced this crazy "new normal" since Covid and are diligent about mask wearing, sanitizing, etc. The staff there are all super friendly and professional and I never feel uncomfortable or "talked about" after I leave like I've experienced in previous salon settings. Also I can't rave enough, this girl KNOWS her color!! It's about a 2 hour drive for me (one way) and it's worth every second!
Everyone in the salon is following COVID rules. Taking temps at the door and everyone wearing masks. Made my first trip out feel safe. Had cut, tone and lash lift. Awesome!
SHANNON is spectacular!!! I walked in frumpy and walked out feeling so happy! She is passionate about what she does and does it well. I'm planning my work trips around my hair appointments now!!
Fun and friendly salon!!! Great atmosphere!! Jamie did a great job on my color and cut. I will definitely be going back to see her!!!!

Recently, my stylist (Lindsey) moved here, and so I had to come visit and leave a review! I've reviewed her before, but long story short -- there are only about a billion good things to say.
Headwaves has a model where each stylist has a little station within the salon, and they manage their own schedules and are generally more independent than at other salons. I personally love that model, because the service you get feels more personal. It's definitely a lot quieter and less busy than a lot of other salons that are open-plan layouts, so if you love that, this is the place for you! I love knowing that everything I pay for at the end of my visit goes directly to my stylist.
I've been with Lindsey for years, all through college and now grad school, and even though I live in Dallas, I only schedule hair appointments when I know I'll be home in Little Rock. I've followed her to this new salon, and I would follow her anywhere! She's so good at knowing what I prefer, what looks good on me, what products are best for my hair, etc. We do cut and color almost every time, and I think she does a great job at balancing trying new things so I don't fall into a rut with my hair, while still keeping the basics strong. She's also great at helping me find products that work well and are worth their price tag. I would LOVE if she decided to relocate to Dallas, but for now, I'll keep making the 5 hour drive.
