I take my special needs friend, Debbie, here every few weeks for a trim. Since our first visit the staff has always been kind and happy to have us. I have taken her to other salons and they always seem annoyed or irritated, due to the fact that Debbie can be loud and asks a lot of questions and you usually can't quite understand her. Another issue I usually have at other places is that they give her a short cut but usually it ends up looking masculine, but at HairMasters they give her a short but feminine style. All of the staff here is OUTSTANDING and I wouldn't ever go anywhere else.
I went to this location for a trim, and my hair was left longer on one side with several long pieces hanging down per every 3-4" section. Once I got home and surveyed the damage, I called and explained that I needed to have it fixed and wanted a refund. The manager offered to fix it, but I explained that I was not comfortable getting my hair cut there again and would prefer to go elsewhere. They reluctantly agreed to refund my money, which I do appreciate, but I felt as though the manager could have been more polite about it. I was completely respectful during the entire interaction and did my best to be discreet about it when I returned for my refund, and she made it clear she was not happy about issuing the refund. I offered to show her a picture of the issue, and she just glanced at it and said, "ok." Overall, I appreciate the refund, and I won't ever return.
I was turned away for a trim the second time I visited this salon because they were closing in 30 minuets. I get it, that's fine, so I decided to go back another day. When I went back, a stylist greeted me and set an appointment for an hour later. When I arrived for the appointment she was still with a client (the only client there). She appeared to look annoyed that I returned for my appointment. She asked another stylist if she would take me. The other stylist rolled her eyes and said "um no, Im doing other stuff". The other "stuff" was her sitting down talking to another stylists. I felt very uncomfortable. Since no one wanted to trim my hair, I left and will take my business elsewhere from now on. My hair is straight and all the same length, it takes no time at all to trim off the dead ends so this was just senseless rudeness and extremely unprofessional.
