Had an appointment for 8am on July 10th 2020. At 7:12am, I get a text from Carine Efambe telling me she has to cancel the appointment because the shop is closed and they are moving. She then rescheduled the appointment for the following Friday, July 17th 2020 @ 3pm. We get to the new shop on 28th & Colorado at on time. She has someone in the chair and my daughter along with someone else waiting for her. My daughter was getting box braids which was going to take at least 5 to 6 hours to do. At 3:15pm, this is 30 minutes after my appointment time, she tells me I need to go get hair. I go get hair, come back and at 3:45, she then asks me if I could give her 30 minutes because she us running behind. Finally at 4:45, she is still doing someone's hair and we decide to leave. Sat there all that time for nothing. This is the worst place to make an appointment to get your hair done. Glad I saved that $250. IDO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS HAIR SALON TO ANYONE!

I really wanted and needed to like this place but unfortunately that didn't happen. I'll start off by saying the people are really nice but the business is unprofessional. I had an appointment at 3 pm and didn't get started till 5 pm. Then after sitting for almost an hour for a 15 min deep conditioner I got up to find my stylist, Annie. She was with another client and told me that she needed more time and that my style was going to take way more time than I had. I needed to be out by 7 and reminded her my appointment was at 3 which should have allowed plenty of time! I was so upset, almost cried because I had an event that evening. Fast forward she rinses my conditioner out and I tell her I will have to leave because there would be no way to get things done on time. Very nicely, though I was shocked she said "okay, that will be $25 for the wash." The wash that took TWO hours out of my day, the wash that I provided the conditioner for and cap...I'm just lucky my parents raised me right because at this point I almost lost it. I politely said I wasn't paying that seeing how my appointment was at 3 and it was 5:30 and I couldn't get what I came for. If anyone knows a good place for a rod set on natural curly hair...pleaaasssseeee let me know :-)

These people show blatant discrimination toward men. Holly Pritchett actually began a woman's hair at the start of my appointment time. She said she's running late. She's been late to every appointment we've had. Now this! I told her I was going elsewhere. She told me that "not many can do it; you have to wait."
I paid her over $400, thirty days ago. I wish I would never have gone to this salon.

Efficient service, but I left very disappointed.

Recently received box braids here from Carine and asked for medium length, medium thinkness braids. For context, I have shoulder length natural hair. The braids I ended up with are big, uneven in thickness, and seemingly randomly placed when it comes to the part and direction of the braids.

Perhaps it boils down to miscommunication, but when I called to try to talk it over and say I'm not happy with the end result after taking a closer look at home, I got the answer that it was what I asked for and that my hair made it difficult to make it look like the picture/style I showed (i.e. a generic picture of medium length box braids that you'll get from Google)

If what I asked for isn't possible with hair my length, I would have liked to been told beforehand so I could have chosen a better option. I'm so disappointed because I can only afford to get my hair braided once a year and look forward to at least leaving feeling confident and beautiful after. I was charged $190 for these braids and the extra hair which took roughly 2.5 hours from start to finish and am so unhappy with the end result that I'm considering taking them down a day after getting them. I've gotten my hair braided before (although not here)  and never left feeling this disappointed with the end result. For the cost of the service I would have expected not only a better end result but also a willingness to hear me out after being dissatisfied

Friendly place. But, try getting shampoo, several rinse outs, etc (which a perm requires) in an office desk chair which doesn't support your back and sits too low below the bowl. It was absolutely horrible! Neck and back was messed up for about a week, being bent backwards over the bowl. That was my first and last visit!!! There is absolutely no excuse for any salon being to  cheap to buy shampoo chairs for customers. Sad, I'm sure they have no clue how many customers this issue has cost them as most customers like myself have just endured it.
