Hair We Are in Hudson, NY

I took my son to get a haircut at here we are for the first time, and the woman that was cutting my sons hair. Please don't take this the wrong way she couldn't keep her hands still shaking all the time scaring my son and myself while she was cutting his hair. She seem like a great lady but the bottom line she shouldn't be cutting hair because there are so many chances that she can hurt somebody. I don't understand why she still there.

I got my first covid haircut here. There was a lot to fix and Donna cut it exactly as I wanted. It looks great. This is my new regular salon.

No, sorry. I feel the need to add my review because my experience was very, very bad. Bad cut and terrible color in 2014 with a stylist who is still there. I left in tears, booked a re-do in NYC for the next day to fix the cut and color. It was not like what I wanted was complicated -- a trim after my last cut 6 weeks before and touch-up foils. The foils were ridiculously bright, then attempted to be fixed with a horrid mahogany/maroon glaze, leaving no highlights, just a dreadful uni-tone maroon color. Awful. And the music is loud and awful too of the rap variety. Beware. Yes, it has its following, just not me.

Very friendly!! I had Linda cut my hair. She was fabulous!! Knew exactly what I wanted. I'm looking forward to trying out their other services. Will definitely be getting my hair cut there from now on!!

I needed a trim and a little bit of color work, thanks to my dark winter roots (my hair gets very light in the summer and grows out a few shades darker and then I get this two-tone thing going on that's more Bozo the Clown than Ironic Trailer Park Chic). So I made an appointment at Hair We Are, liking the name and having seen it many times on my way to the Price Chopper down the road. Diana did my hair and I'm still kind of astonished by how well she matched the color, seemingly without really even looking at it first. It looks fabulous, all glossy and golden and natural, and the trim she gave me was subtle but nicely layered and sufficiently sophisticated. Heidi did my eyebrows and also did a great job, and I'm thrilled to say that she never double-dipped the wax (as is lamentably common in even upscale NYC salons, gross and potentially dangerous as that is). The prices at this place are very reasonable, almost scarily so, and I suspect that I'll be going back a lot. It's not a fancy salon at all--it has a very down-home feel to it and the furnishings are a little worn. But the space is cute and there are tons of magazines to read and complimentary drinks while you wait. The service is really friendly and pretty fast, the prices are amazing, and the results speak for themselves. What a great find.
