Hair Unlimited in Salinas, CA

I NEVER write reviews but this place should get Negative stars. DO NOT COME HERE "Fina" claimed she can do something similar to my reference photo I provided and I got a BOTCHED job. I told her I would like to come back to get it fixed and she still wanted to charge me after making me pay 300+ for the horrible work. I was embarrassed and still am! I literally cried when I left. I hope people stop coming here because it's ridiculous. Too bad I can't get a refund, what a waste

I would have to say that this is the best salon I have ever been to with the best customer service and talented stylist. I did notice that most people that go there are only by appointment but these ladies will do whatever they can to either squeeze you in or let you know when the next opening is! Thanks ladies keep up the good work

I'm really good friends with the owner and the hair salon is a really good place to go to if you just want a trim, a hair color change, nails done or waxing. This is the place to go to. For last minute stops or by appointments. This is my place to go all the time since I trust these people with my hair! There's no other place I would but here :)

Words cannot describe how disappointed I am with the lack of customer service this business has. I purchased a handful of certificates that offered a "special" promotion for new clients, kept one for myself and gave the others to my family members as gifts. Each certificate was about $50 and included several different services (pedi, haircut, and facial). I had went in for the pedi and knew right away that pedicures were not their area of expertise. There is only one chair for pedicures so I couldn't schedule a pedicure date with my mother. The lady who did the pedicures was very nice and the only reason this place deserves any stars. I called to set up an appointment for the facial and left a message for the lady in charge of giving them. She did not call back. So I called again and again and again. No response. I had asked my family members if they had been successful in making an appointment and they had been avoided just as I had. The certificates had an expiration date on them and we had tried to schedule an appointment for a facial before they expired. We called months in advance od expiration and have still been calling to figure out what is going on but have gotten nowhere. We tried calling the main number to the salon and were assured the lady in charge of facials would give us a call back. The owner herself told me that she would talk to her and ask what was going on. I am beyond frustrated that I was scammed by this place! They sold over 1,000 of these certificates and had one person in charge of each different service! All of the certificates expired around the same time. I don't know why they would sell so many certificates and be so inadequately staffed but I'm sure I'm not the only one who had to deal with this problem. I'm sure if enough people couldn't set an appointment due to the lack of staff and customer service, there can be something legal done about this scam. We pretty much donated money to their business and recieved nothing in return. I am very upset that this has happened and I will make sure to let those around me know to avoid this place.

I have been a customer of Hair, Unlimited for nearly 20 years. All the stylists are very nice and down to earth and do great work! And the price for services is very fair. The owner, Connie, has been with the salon for 20 plus years and is very focused on all her stylists succeeding and she also gives a lot back to the community. I like coming to this salon because the environment is positive, friendly and drama-free. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to receive quality hair and skin services from stylists who are just "real" people.
