Hair Doctors Barber & Beauty in Anchorage, AK

My husband went in to get his hair trimmed and and undercut. That's it. But the guy that did his hair decided of his own will to do my husbands eyebrows. Well, the hair guy only decided to do ONE eyebrow! And let my husband walk out like that! Not to mention he strained his beautiful curly hair with a blow dryer TOUCHING his head, and didn't put ANY heat protection in. My husband didn't ask for any of that! PISSED!

I even brought in a picture back when I was getting my hair cut and it was so bad the barber whispered to me I didn't have to pay. When I saw it I definitely wasn't going to pay. My edges still are struggling to grow back. I was in the military at the time and wore wigs to cover up the buzz cut and head wraps over the weekends because I was so ashamed at how horrible it looked. That was the last straw. I should've learned from previous cuts.

I walked into the property at 377 Muldoon on Saturday, August 25, 2018 And the place was virtually empty with one barber in the far right corner working on someone and one barber in the foreground named John fixated on his cell phone. John was the barber closest to me but did not make any attempt whatsoever to  ackknowledge that there was even a customer present. And I called out nicely that I would like to get a haircut and without even looking at me, the barber sitting idly staring at his phone call out for another barber To take care of mewithout even looking at me or addressing me. As it turns out, the barber that took care of me, Antonio, was superb any true craftsman. I called Juan, the owner of the store and told him about my experience with John. I thought one would be happy and to have feedback on how his barbers are when he is not present as he was at the Lake Otis store. My experience with one could not have been further from the truth as he kept making excuses for the rudeness of the barber John who would 90 with egg knowledge the presence of a new client, telling me that he didn't speak English but only spoke Spanish (I told Juan that Spanish is my native tongue so that would not
have been a problem and that I thought it was rude for a businesses or an employee of the businesses to not acknowledge a customer when they walk in. His reply and words stunned me. He said that he and I were both "grown ass men "as where his barbers and that he was sick and tired of looking after his barbers to make sure they were doing the right thing in his absence! ( apparently I was not the first person to complain is what I took from this) I explained to Juan that as a business
owner I would certainly appreciate someone telling me when an employee delivered less than the best customer service they could to my clients. It was a strange an unexpected conversation with the owner of a business who apparently does not really care how his customers are treated or feels that he doesn't have to work that hard to keep his clients.One thing he told me in parting was that barbers like John would lose customers because of their attitude and I again explained perhaps so but in the meantime he represents hair doctors???

Thank God, Antonio did a phenomenal job.

I would give Antonio five stars but my interaction With John 2 to 3 stars at best.

I was definitely not impressed with John or Juan's answer to my concern.

Don't waste your time here. I took my son there and they did a half decent job on his hair, but they didn't pay attention to the small details. I told the barber I was going to get cut after my son. When he finished I walked up to the chair and he looked at me like I was crazy. These guys barely speak English so maybe he didn't understand what I meant. Either way I asked for a bald fade with a two on top. The guy gave me a taper fade. Not only that but he cut my hair against the grain without asking me. I have waves in my hair. I really was irritated when I left there. Find a better shop to go to!

O.m.g. The freakin worst place ever. If you want someone to get your haircut by someone that will scream at another barber in another language - for literally- (I cannot stress enough) 50 minutes! For a simple Military cut, you should go here. I I wish I could put them out of business. So terrible and the people are worst they're so angry. Go look it's crazy.
