It's holiday season and suppose to feel good but just had a bad experience with this Hair Cuttery. Lady (Sally) was on rush and did not even dry my hair all the way and left a lot of pieces at the end of my hair. I've needed to come back and still did not do it right.
I usually go to a different location but was able to get an appointment the same day. Anna was personable and gave me tips for scalp care. It was very busy but the customer service was very good!
After two bad experiences, I'm not returning. I was two minutes late for my appointment (exactly 2, I checked) and it was given away, but I was told I could wait for a slot and it would be 10 minutes or so. I left at the 40 minute mark. Today, I was told it would be "just a few minutes" and again waited nearly 40 minutes. My time is worth more than this, and yours is too. I suggest booking at a better run salon. Also I did not enjoy the judgmental comments about the number of kids I had at my age and the length of my marriage. I have a very average number of kids at my age but even if I didn't, why is this my stylist's business? Also the haircut is horrendous
Jess is amazing ! She's friendly, down to earth, and always listens. She's spot on with color and is always attentive to the front desk. The salon is great too, not fancy but I can say that every time I'm there I see someone I know getting styled. So, this place has a good following of really great women. I was recommended Jess by someone I asked about her color. Great place.
My 11 year old daughter has been so excited to get her hair shampooed, cut, and styled all summer. It's the night before school pictures, and we had an appointment here at 5:45pm. We showed up to the salon at 5:40pm and were essentially ignored for the first 15 minutes. Finally one of the stylists acknowledged me and said "she'll be right with you". Another 15 minutes pass, and a second stylist comes to the front and asks if we've been helped. I tell her we had an appointment at 5:45 (it's now 6:15). The first lady who spoke to us came rushing over and began speaking in hushed tones to the second woman. We did hear "mistake" very clearly. They never said a word to us in explanation. They both walked away. At 6:25 I finally asked the first woman if we should just leave, as they had taken TWO walk-ins ahead of us. And we had an APPOINTMENT. She looked me up and down, and in a snide voice said "she's almost done". My daughter was almost in tears by this point, believing she wasn't going to have her haircut for picture day. I stayed only because I wanted her to have the haircut. Any other circumstance we would've left and not looked back. Finally 41 minutes after our appointment time had passed my daughter was taken back. No apology. No explanation about what went wrong. Just "how much do you want off and follow me". And that was what was upsetting; I totally understand that mix ups happen, especially in a semi-busy salon. What is unacceptable is being ignored and not a single employee actually taking the time to apologize and explain what went wrong. No offer of any kind to attempt to make things right. I guess you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, we will not be back. It was a good lesson in patience and going high when others go low for our daughter.
