Gv Nails in Grain Valley, MO

If I could give zero stars I would. My nails are so bad. They're uneven, loose (not glued well) speaking of glue there's glue all over my fingers. I went with my sister for a fun girls day before school and the ENTIRE time the artist, Don, was bullying her and making fun of her smaller nail beds (her nail beds are smaller due to a medical condition and even after telling him that he continued to be hurtful and disrespectful). My sisters nails have acrylic on her fingers, and hanging off of the nails. Both of our fingers are red and bleeding from all of the cuts we got. I got glitter nails and Don missed the sides of my nails on all of my nails. I highly highly do not recommend. We asked for a refund or at least a discount and he snatched my phone from my hand to do apple pay. He yelled at us and swore up and down he wasn't making fun of my sister and was just commenting on it. Don't give this place your money.

I wouldn't get a manicure here $35 for a gel manicure and all he did was paint them. No shaping, clipping, or cleaning underneath. I mostly just wanted my cuticles pushed back, but he didn't even do that. I'm giving 3 stars as the lady who did my mom's pedicure was excellent and did a wonderful job!

Just had an amazing experience here! I got a pedicure with the BEST afoot/leg massage ever! It's usually difficult for me to relax but I was almost falling asleep I was so relaxed. Will definitely come back!!

They were so friendly and funny! They were very kind and playful! They have always done amazing with my nails and have always been very gentle. I had a bad experience with other nail parlors but when I came to this one I automatically knew after that I would stay there!

First let me start by saying I'm all about supporting businesses in my area. But the overall experience I would rate 1 star.

Me and my daughter were referred to GV nails by my mom who has been a regular there for a while now. My daughter went first and showed the nail tech what she wanted he seemed to be fine with it as the design was black matte nails with one nail clear black with a spider web. While doing her nails there was no one else in the building so we were chatting like everything was OK although I don't feel like the conversation was appropriate as he was basically stating that the way I was raising my daughter was incorrect and the way he raised his sons was to be respectful I didn't feel that my daughter was being in any way disrespectful to him. after he finished her nails he moved her to another chair and told her that they would dry but didn't put her in front of a fan, well I did the same design as  my daughter who went out to the car to sit for a moment. Well I started with my fill I was never asked first if I would like my nails shorter almost like I was being rushed through my fill. Before he started to paint I advised I wanted them a little bit shorter as they had grown out and I didn't want them that long he seemed to be frustrated with the overall experience as it seemed he didn't want to do any type of design. Let me also start off by saying he was extremely against regular polish and then had advised that regular polish is trash and will come off within a few days making him look bad as a nail tech. I stated that at this time I cannot afford to pay for mine and hers with gel polish and a fill.

My daughter came back into the salon telling me quietly that her thumbnail had smudged my mom was also with us I advised her that it needed to be fixed and when my mom tried to tell the nail tech to see if he could fix it really quick once I was finished he hushed her  loudly and told her ONE AT A TIME in a loud voice. Keep in mind once I was in the process of getting my fill more people started to show up these people were given a timeframe of an hour to an hour and a half but still insisted on sitting inside the small salon causing the nail tech and his partner to become overwhelmed there was even somebody in there with a dog not that I have anything against dogs  but it wasn't even a support animal so I wasn't sure why the dog was there.

Unfortunately when we left as we did not want to sit there any longer because of the disrespect we felt from them my nails smudged as well and when I got home I had to paint over them with my own black nail polish. Any other nail salon I've been to always paints over the nail twice or three times to make sure it's fully coated it was only painted over once which caused the polish to fade away quickly.

Unfortunately it looks like we are not the only people to have this type of experience at the salon as my mom has praised this place for so long we decided to try it but unfortunately none of us will be returning hopefully you don't receive the same experience we did.
