Great Clips in South Bend, IN

I came with a few people in line and was told when I was checked in that it would be a maximum of 15 minutes. I was called up to get my haircut, but they had apparently forgotten to check in somebody who had registered online -- I deferred and let the person that wasn't checked in go, but then someone else came in five minutes later and went in front of me as well. It was well over 15 minutes, and the inability to gauge how long you will wait  based on people filtering in that supposedly were checked in before you even though I'd already been called is ridiculous. I'm going somewhere that doesn't have online check-in

Perhaps I am just impatient.  Standing room only in the waiting room, but only 2 of the 8 available cutting stations are active.  I left when I was still third on the list, after a man that had cone in after me, but had checked in on line, took a seat in front of me.  I will look for a better barbershop!

The young woman who cut my hair only spoke to me when necessary. I almost had the impression that I was some kind of an inconvenience.  She was, however, extremely  interested in getting in on the conversation her partner was having with her customer, a young man who they both knew.  Maybe if she had paid more attention to me she would have cut my hair a bit more neatly. Left a big lump of hair on top - I look like I have a tumor! Had to repair it myself.

I have always had a good experience here. They are friendly, fast, and inexpensive. I only get a haircut every 3 months or so. I tried a competitor  and they jacked it all up. The only thing some may not like about this Great Clips is that I have never seen anyone work here for more then 6 months.

I think they can definitely improve.  I know they keep your last haircut on file.  My advice, listen to the customer instead of looking at what they got the last time.  My hair person/barber, kept talking about what I had on file.  She ended up cutting my hair too short on top...instead of listening to what I wanted.  Yeah my hair will grow back, but I would have been a lot happier.
