Great Clips in Newark, DE

I have been using great clips for quite a long time. I have come to this store, specifically, multiple times before.
One of the main benefits of being a great clips customer is the online checking-in feature since it saves us time.
Today, between 11 and 12, we checked in online, as always, and the waiting time was 35 minutes. We finished other things, then we received a text message telling us the remaining waiting time was 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, we went to the store, and we were informed that the waiting time would be from 3 to 11 minutes. So, we decided to wait. We spent more than 20 minutes, and our turn didn't come! People were coming after us and getting served before us, which was annoying. So, we decided to go to another store.
For all the great clips stores we have been in before, there is a screen that shows the people ordering in the line.
One of the sketchy things we encountered was that the screen was off! So, no way we can know our order in the line.

Asked for a low fade.  Went all the way high.  Immediately stopped her and she said you can't do what I asked.  Was done in 5 minutes.  Send help SOS

I went in to get a shampoo and a trim.  Was told they are not doing any shampoos due to lack of staff. Two stylists in shop with no other clients. I asked "do you are just cutting dirty hair?"  The manager answered yes!  Needless to say I left. I'm guessing they don't want to make any money.  Bad business leads to no business. In this economy I would be doing cartwheels to get clients in.

Stopped in for the first time to this Great Clips location to get a quick haircut before heading to Florida next week.

A quiet afternoon while the rain starts outside, there wasn't many people waiting for a cut on this Wednesday afternoon with the nearby University of Delaware students still in class and business workers still in their offices.

There were two stylists and I was able to get a seat in the chair before two other check in customers arrived. With Wednesdays being Senior Cut Day, there was a calm before the storm with Senior Citizens coming in for their afternoon cut.

I was able to engage in a conversation with my stylist about what I usually get which is a 1 1/2 clippers on the side with scissors on top. She also did some thinning of my hair with some special shears that helps to blend it all which I always appreciate as it makes everything seem more put together.

I'll be back with such an easy spot to get to from the University where I work.
