Great Clips in Lee's Summit, MO

gave me a dr phil hair cut down the middle even though i asked for a "yeah i got fluffly hair cut" and made me look like i make stage 3 ball cancer

this salon is terriable i asked for a one inch off and they cut 5 inches off they do not want to be at there job and never go here again the me up.

I usually get a hair wash for $8.00 with intention of leaving a $10.00 tip.  My 1st visit to this salon was a good experience, the hair attendant was accommodating.

My 2nd revisit didn't go too well yesterday, when a different hair attendant finished washing my hair, she didn't want to be bothered with combing out my wet hair, and asked me if I wanted to detangle it.  I asked her to please comb it out, she half-way combed it out and then as far as she was concerned, we were finished, me being left with a head of slightly tangled, sopping wet hair.  My hair is long & silky.  I'm not a dread-lock head.  

Apparently, this hair attendant didn't acknowledge the fact the temperature here in KC went down to 27 degrees yesterday, and intended for me to walk out the door with a head of sopping wet hair, with COVID & Flu Season & all! Why are there hair-dryers at every counter, but are not being used?  Is it to much to ask for a quick blow-dry?  

I sounded off about it, before & while paying her, and made sure the other customers waiting heard my little rant.  

The attendant decided to have the upper-hand, remain stoic and not worried about me not returning.

Split ends started appearing a few weeks before my appointment with my regular hair professional.  I had about 45 minutes extra so decided to squeeze in an end trim.  This location is in my neighborhood and I've been in before without issue.

This time the manager informed me that if I wanted a round brush used to dry my hair after my shampoo (as opposed to a paddle brush) I would be charged a styling charge. I asked why and she responded "we only charge $15.00 for a haircut" and her tone made it clear it was one of the more stupid questions she's ever heard.

So, my stylist Gabby did as best as she could with mostly her fingers and a little of a wet brush. End result -- it took a lot longer than it would have with a round brush... Not her fault but she was only following orders.  She did a good job on the trim and was pleasant.

Would have been 4 stars but moved to 3 stars due to rude manager.

I went to a different location this time. I tried the location off of woods chapel. I read the reviews so I could have a heads up on the stylist beforehand. They said that Misty was not a good stylist. Low and behold, who greeted me, none other than Misty. MISTY gave me 1 of the better cuts I have ever received by Great Clips. Misty doesnt have an attitude and think she is better than everyone else like Amy Smith does. I am so glad Amy doesnt cut my hair anymore. When Amy used to cut my hair she would see that I would be next on her list. She would take her time sweeping up, go to the bathroom, talk to every person she could to prolong my stay. She would also have trouble punching in when she seen that I was 1st in line. I am SO GLAD we parted ways. Misty is my NEW stylist and she doesnt BEG for a tip.
