Great Clips in Henderson, NV

I signed into their web site to get a hair cut.  When I arrived they asked if I was Paula P.  I was the next person in line.  A man came in who happened to be the next person after me who had signed in.  The girl came up and said he requested me so she took him next.  She said the other girl will be done in about 5 minutes and she can take you next.  I left but came back to ask for the manager who was not there.  I will not be returning there for service.

This is not the great clips I went to. I went to the new one on Lake Mead Pkwy & Warm Springs but they do not have a yelp page yet but maybe this can get to them.

I came in for a trim and to thin my hair because it is very thick. I was like if possible can you shape it in a V or close to a V, I'm growing my hair out and it's easier to tame when it layered in a V shape.
Paige my stylist said yeah but we will have to cut some length off.
I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A WORSE HAIR CUT.
It was choppy, uneven, the way she used those razor scissors that thin hair alone should have told me she had no idea what she was doing. I'm not the type who deals with confrontation, I won't tell someone you f***ed up I'm not paying for this. So I paid and left. I just got my hair fixed and they had to cut so much off to fix how bad she cut my hair.
I almost want to go back and get my money back. She can keep the tip, maybe invest in more hair schooling but I'm really tempted to go back and get my money back because it was that bad.

The reason I'm giving two stars is because Im disappointed in my experience and lack of culture at this location. I brought my daughter in today who is mixed half black and white. So she has curly textured hair. We just came in for a simple shampoo and cut which we have been to other places like fantastic Sams, another great clips locations before and have never had an issue. When we came in the First Lady looked at her hair like it was the plague and said she was not able to cut her hair. That we had to wait for someone who knows how to cut curly hair. We waited for over an hour even though she was on top of list no one wanted to cut her hair they all looked scared and treated her like they never seen a kid who was mixed before. After being skipped over and told we have to wait for a certain person finally after I asked twice someone took her back.

I've never in my life experienced a cosmetologist who was not trained to cut curly and textured hair. The girl who did my daughters hair after waiting forever did a good job but the experience was not good. I am still in shock that these cosmetologist for not trained to cut curly and textured hair, and how nobody wanted to take her. I'm pretty sure when u get license do you have to know how to cut all types of hair not the straight hair. I hope in future they aren't reluctant to take people of every race  and culture

I just got off work and checked the Great Clips app to see how long the wait was at this location... It showed 14 minutes so I thought "Great! I can get in and out no problem!" Arrived at the location 10 minutes later, there were 2 stylists just finishing up as I came in, 2 other names ahead of me on the list, and one customer waiting (she was #2 on the wait list, I was #3). The previous customers got rung up and were out of the door with no hassle, then the stylists went to clean up their stations. Then the customer before me gets called over to be helped and all of a sudden my wait time jumps from 5 minutes to 30 minutes and the other stylist disappears without a word! I am now #2 on the list but now it's showing a 47 minute wait. I get it that the other stylist might be on a break but, come on, at least tell me (the waiting customer) what's going on so I can decide if I want to wait longer than I expected. Now I'm sitting here with no idea how much longer I have to wait and the screen says 50 minutes! The service at this location seems to be going downhill with stylists not giving a crap about their guests' time.

Of the 3 different ladies who cut my hair there, Angela & Sharel were the only 2 who knew what they were doing. They are no longer there. I tried a different location & asked for NO layers but the guy gave me layers. I am really disappointed in Great Clips.
