GOSSIP NAIL LOUNGE in Closter, NJ

I love gossip nail because I hate using the dangerous UV cancer causing lights. I feel they look so much more natural that acrylic tips. I like the owner, he's really sweet though and now that I'm back in the area I'll be back again. I will buy my own powder from them to keep it sanitary though even though the salon is sterile.

Don't bother going here. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They do not honor their scheduled appointments and you wind up waiting and frankly they don't care. You would think they would value their "regulars" but they do not...fortunately there are many other choices here in the northern valley area.

My mom and I have been coming here since before COVID. We drive 25 minutes passing several salons to come here because they (USED TO) do the best job. We had an appt for today to which they started one of our pedicures on time and after 25 minutes started the second. While frustrating, not the end of the world. After waiting for our nails to get done the owners finally did them theirselves. The gentleman doing my moms nails got up to leave several times, didn't finish her nails, never filed them and left them rough and sandy. Then the woman owner started my nails and was very rude. My mom asked her if her manicure was done (because the gentleman left abruptly) and the woman became annoyed. My mom then went to talk to the owner when he came back and the woman told me to tell my mom to go sit down and not to talk to him. The women working there typically do a good job and that is why we go back. However after the way we were spoke to by the owners and the fact that our manicures were awful we will not be coming back.

tried this place for the first time. made an appointment the day before and still had to wait 40 minutes. then the woman doing my nails seemed very rushed and maybe spent 15 minutes on my gel manicure. didn't take time to shape my nails nicely, didn't use enough polish, and it's already chipping (after 3 days). im really not that picky but making me wait that long AND then doing a bad job is not acceptable.

terrible customer service ok pedicure. made an appointment and had a text confirm with the date and time sent to me same day. went to the appointment and they told me I didn't have one. I tried to show them my confirm and they walked away and refused to talk to me or look at it. I called manager and he called them and explained he had canceled the appointment by accident. they then refused to honor appointment and help me. never apologized and would not look at me when speaking had backs to me at all times. I've never been treated so rudely and like I did something wrong by showing up at my appointment time. don't go there unless you want to be treated like dirt.
