Goddess African Hair Braiding in San Antonio, TX

Do not go to this place... I should have read some of these comments and went somewhere else to get my daughter's hair done... They don't know what they are doing if you have locs... Please don't spend your money here... They should be shut down

This establishment deserves less than 1 star. Prior to making my appointment with Raphi, I was a bit skeptical, because of all the negative reviews online, yet I decided to give them a chance anyway. I mean how bad could they be... according to their website, they are the number one hair braiding shop in San Antonio (fake news). Please don't waste your time and money. I asked for just two braids with a part in the middle. Raphi parted my hair with a crooked line, braided half of my hair, then handed me a mirror and replied "you don't like it." Oh my God, this braid was very sloppy and it looked like it was done in a prison yard by a blind inmate missing their thumbs. I told her, no I don't like it, then she apologized and one of her coworkers stated that it was bad, because I have natural hair and that Raphi can not do 2 braids; however, she could do a better job if I let her give me 4 braids. WTF, you mean to tell me she is going to give me not 1, but 4 Flavor Flav braids. Thank you, but no thanks... I left that joint like a character in the movie Get Out! Ladies out there, listen to the reviews and DO NOT GO THERE EVER! Raphi can not braid hair if her life depended on it... I'm done!

I recently had an unfortunate experience with the stylist , Olivia. She braided my hair approx. Two and a half weeks ago, in individual braids. The outcome was just ok, being that I have gotten my hair braided her before, and before they came out beautiful. Once I got home this last time the entire nape area of my braids came out two at a time, they are really loose and I called rhafi to let her know what was going on and she told me to come back so Olivia could fix it. Once I got there Olivia was upset that I came back and kept telling me my hair was short and I can't put the braids in a ponytail which I hadn't done and shes been braiding hair for 30yrs and this never happen to her before. I find that very hard to believe it was a rushed job because she was trying to hurry up and pick up her daughter from school.. yanking at my head and all. braids are bigger than the other, she was very nasty and rude and was trying to take pic of my hair once she fixed it.. now the braids in the back are smaller than the original style.. I will not be going back here... yes, major run on sentences.. that's how upset I was..

This place is the worst hair braiding place in San Antonio. I came in to get Marley twist and they only lasted two weeks. I came in the next week and they lady's said that they can't redo it because it looks bad they have the worst service and if you call and make an appointment they have you wait and sit for at least 45 minutes. Also don't get your hair washed because they don't wash the shampoo out all the way.

How unprofessional is it to book a client and when she arrives she is told that there is no appointment for her!!? Well lemme be the first to tell you THAT IS VERY U PROFESSIONAL!!! I booked an appointment for this morning at 9am. The salon door was not even open yet at 9:15. When the stylist arrived she said I did not have an appointment and that I would have to wait 1.5 hours. I explained I spoke to the owner and told her I had to be somewhere at 12:30. Im so disappointed that I had to find someone else to do my hair in order to make my other plans on time. !!!
