Gel Nail Salon in Schenectady, NY

I love this place--I've been coming here for over a year and always leave loving my nails. I always make an appointment with Tina and she never disappoints!

I went in for ANC with no tips. I chose a light pink color off of the ring of nails they give you to show you the colors. It wasn't until she put on the clear coat that the color was actually RED. Not like it 'maybe' could be pink, no dark RED. So the colors on the nail ring are not even accurate to what color you're actually going to get. Not to mention, another girl in the salon to get ANC had to ask them to take off 3 of her nails that they started with ANC because the color was not the same that was on the ring. On top of this, I've had them for not even a week and 3 nails already chipped. I've NEVER had a problem with ANC before. She also rushed through it and kept bragging that she was doing them so quickly. I will not be back to this nail salon.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I had a gel pedi done which I do monthly (that's how long they last on me). Within a day the gel was popping off the nails. Normally I have to scrape whatever gel is left after a month, the gel never peels off whole. While my nails were being painted, another customer came in to complain about the same thing with regards to a manicure she had the day before - gel polish coming right off. I also thought it was really weird that they paint your toes at the manicure section; very uncomfortable to have to slide your feet UNDER the mani table while the technician is on the other side trying to paint your toes!? I won't return, and recommend you don't bother either!

The owner here is super nice. I went in to get my eyebrows done and I came out looking like avatar with barely ANY eyebrows left (the woman messed them up) I was really upset about it because eyebrows really make your entire face look different if they're done poorly. Once I got home and realized the huge chunk she took out of my eyebrow I called the salon back and spoke to the owner. I asked if they could fix them somehow, but he insisted on giving me a full refund ($10 including tip). Thankfully I can go buy an eyebrow pencil to fill them in until it grows back. Even though the lady completely screwed up my eyebrows I'm giving this business 4 stars because the owner is polite... But I will never go back there for a wax that's for sure

Terrible terrible! I went here for a shellac manicure and it was awful. The manicure technician cut my finger with the nail sander and I was bleeding! To top it all off the gel didn't dry correctly and is now rippling in some spots. Also, it was not cheap, it was 25 dollars! I wish I complained more when it happened. I am not happy and probably will never go back here.
