G.O.A.T. Haircuts in Layton, UT

My boyfriend and I had an overall great experience here.

We initially stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Walk-ins are welcome, but the place was extremely swamped, so we decided to make an appointment for Monday. I feel like an appointment is definitely the way to go though.

We popped back in on Monday and the first thing we noticed was the amazing smell. When we asked what it was (fully assuming it was hair product), they said is was Crumbl next door! It smells amazing while getting your hair done.

My boyfriend went on back and got the GM cut. There was no one next to him, so they let me go back and sit next to him. They had music playing and a tv by every chair. The lady cutting his hair was super nice and did a fantastic job. She really paid attention to detail and gave him a good cut.

After the cut, he got his hair shampooed and styled. It was nice to get all the extra hairs washed off and to walk out styled. It was nice compared to the place he went to prior to G.O.A.T.

All of the employees were really nice and made us feel comfortable. My boyfriend will definitely become a repeat customer.

Bad service right at reservations.  Willing to give a haircut but no extras.  If you can't get what you book for why try?  Extremely poor service!

This place was a great experience all around. My hair stylist Mindi did a great job and the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. They have TVs everywhere and were happy to turn on a basketball game for me. Not to mention the  free snacks, coffee and soda fountain!

These people don't care about their patrons. Not one employee wearing a mask during a freakin pandemic! Also, letting patrons (who are also irresponsible) to sit there with no mask. How selfish and irresponsible. I cannot believe this business allows their employees to be a part of the problem and not the solution. I can't believe the county is allowing them to stay open. Don't people freakin get it, it probably is not going kill you. But it sure as hell is going to kill off all of the elders by the time this is over. No one in this company has grandparents? People like this don't think of others, just themselves. I hope people avoid this place. Prices are ridiculously high too.

First impression was a good one.
The place is only a few days old, so it's not without some minor hiccups. The staff seems to be getting trained on their systems and I went during a pretty busy time, so it seemed just a little chaotic.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The establishment is new and inviting. While you wait they have coffee you can brew yourself (Keurig style machine) or various sodas on draft.
The stylist was talkative and friendly. She also did a good job on my haircut.

Really, the only negative I have is that they have a membership program so I feel like everyone who works there has to try and push that, but that may not be the case. It may just be because they're new and trying to get people on board.
