Shame on me for not remembering the name of the stylist who cut my hair 4 months ago (maybe Angela?), but what I can tell you is that she did such an amazing job that today my hair looks even better than it did when she cut it (and it was awesome then)! I swear, I have NEVER had a cut that was so easy to maintain. It even looks great after sleeping on it all night. The cut just makes it lay right no matter what. Definitely the best haircut I have ever had.

I absolutely love this place and I am so glad I found them! The vibe was amazing from the moment I walked in. Jeanie is truly a sweet heart and I love how she took her time to listen and discuss what I wanted. She's so compassionate and loving with all her clients. You can tell she's doing what she loves. I went in for a haircut and a beach wave. My hair is normally wavy but due to the amount of bleach and products I've utilized over the years, I lost the waves and curls. Jeanie patiently worked her magic and gave me the best curls while Angela gave me the best haircut of my life!I am SO in love with my hair! My husband kept complimenting me as soon as I got home. Haha. Thank you so much, Jeanie and Angela! I am very happy and really enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone at the salon.

I wanted to visit this salon due to it being the closest organic salon and I had hoped it was similar to my favorite organic salon. I was able to make an appointment for a wash, cut and blow for myself and single process hair color treatment for my mom. We came in and I got my hair washed and cut, and my mom was getting her hair colored and we were treated very nicely. However, somehow I was not written down for a blowout which was very weird. My mom I could understand because I did not mention a blowout for her, but it mentions on the website that haircuts include blowouts. From there, the experience was not the same. I was left on the side to get a low heat blowdry while a customer who wanted 1 inch of hair off and that took forever. At time to pay, it felt like prices were being pulled from thin air. Prices on the website mention $85+ $75+ $60+ for a haircut (which includes blowout) depending on the stylist's level of experience. The price of my wash/cut/blow was $75 and another $25 added to that because my blowout took a long time even though my hair was cut shorter (?) My mom's total was $170 for her single process hair color (which on website says $115+ and I would think includes the wash) and the blowout. It says on the website that additional blowout to any service is $20-$30. My hair was still a little wet when I came home despite the extreme heat that was applied because my hair is "curly". It is still pretty frizzy. I had also mentioned multiple times during the process that my hair still felt tangled and it still felt tangled when I got home. My mom told me they did not spray heat protection before starting on her blowout. We ended up staying for a little more than 3 hours. The price was too high and just not worth the services.

I had a lovely experience at FOS last weekend. I had a great scalp massage from Angela, and Tanya was thoughtful and attentive. It was my first haircut in almost a year and I'm so happy with it! Great products, kind and competent staff... I'll definitely be back.

This place claims to have all natural color from Italy when in fact the color has plenty of chemicals and actually from Australia not Italy. I asked if I could bring my own henna based color since I am a 2X cancer survivor with chemical sensitivity. The owner Jeannie said they will not apply my own color and will only use their brand for customers. So much for the all natural earth and humanity friendly philosophy. Jean Francois Michelle salon across the street were gracious and kind and happily applied my color with a beautiful blowout. You will find the respectful customer service at 28 Nassau Boulevard ! Best to avoid FOS Living at all costs
