Focus Student Salon in Pensacola, FL

I got probably the worst haircut possible here. My color was nothing that I had asked for. They kept adding warmth when I specify asked for it to be a cool tone. No matter what level you are, you can achieve ashy hair. The supervision sucks. The head instructor had no remorse when I called in, she said "they don't hover over the students" well they obviously need it. She offered to check my haircut, but another student would do it. By that point I was so annoyed with this school that I'd rather not go back and get my hair jacked up again. As a licensed professional- DON'T EVER GO TO THIS SCHOOL.

I have gone twice- both times I had purchased amazing deals on Groupon. I can say both times, I've walked out so happy with my hair and the whole experience! I've never been disappointed! Pensacola is not the greatest for trying to find a salon. I've gone to too many places that were ridiculously expensive and walked out unhappy with my hair. But not with this place! The ladies here are wonderful and put you at ease and explain every bit of what they're doing to your hair throughout the process. I was never left wondering or worrying about what was being done. My Groupon deal was for a cut, style, conditioning, and balayage... for $45!!! I took in a picture of what I wanted and walked out looking amazing. Chris worked a miracle on my hair, and she was so super nice and fun to talk with! The service I got here would've easily cost me, at the very least, $200 anywhere else. All I know is, from now on, if I'm in town and needing my hair done, I'm going straight there!

Jackie was my stylist and I absolutely love the service I reviewed. She is so personable and nice to talk to for the 4 hours I was there. The school seems to be very well ran, all the girls are so helpful to each other. The teachers, and the director, step in and teach the girls and are very hands on in the training. Will definitely be back!!

Very affordable, instructor supervised, student salon. These aren't your average cosmetology students. The school targets a younger crowd, who are open to chemical services and trendy styles, by offering a student discount. All students are trained in styling various textures of hair as well and have great exposure to men's and clipper cuts. Kids and walk-ins welcome! In addition, Focus offers a massage therapy clinic, skin care services, nails, pedicures, extensions, foil highlights, braids, up-dos, and will accomodate large parties by appointment.
