I recommend the salon for so many reasons. It's women owned, LGBTQ friendly, and they use earth and animal friendly products. The only thing that was slightly confusing for me on my first appointment was figuring out which length appointment I needed. I booked a 72 minute appointment and it turns out I only needed, a short amount of time. Please note that you don't tip your stylist because the cost is incorporated into the price of the cut.
I ordered Afterworld Hair Glow (also 5/5 stars) from Flipp's online shop. There was a bit of a mixup with the order but they were quick to fix it! Great customer service and I'd definitely order from them again.

I went for a consultation first with Michael who was very good at listening to my ideas. I brought pics of a hair style that I used to wear and he agreed to cut my bob into a style with long layers. I got an appointment two days later. In addition to the cut, he applied color and highlights using organic products. I am thrilled with the results. I will be sure to re-book!
I have never written a review before, but as I've searched and searched for a good stylist for my curly hair in Rhode Island for so long with no success. . .I wanted to share how much I loved Jo-Anna Cassino at Flipp Salon in Providence. She was very personable, listened with care, and skillfully cut my curls. I've tried every 'curly cut' out there, and hated it every time. I've spent my life letting bad haircuts grow out, and Jo-Anna did a fabulous job of free-styling the cut without creating the 'shelf' or the 'pyramid,' which is so often what I'm left with, and the products she used left my hair soft, shiny, and controlled the frizz well. I will be sending my niece and step-daughter - both with gorgeous curls - to Flipp very soon! Another thing worth mentioning is that Flipp staff are very Covid cautious, and have taken many precautions in their salon. Thanks also to Toby who so kindly and warmly schedules the appointments. I highly recommend Jo-Anna and Flipp Salon!
