Family Nail in Mastic, NY

Well after about a year and a half of coming here every 2 weeks I am finished looking for a new place. We came in after Christmas with gifts for our technicians they had an issue with the plumbing backing up into the pedi / foot spa machine, instead of telling us faithful customers 2 times a month to come back another time for the pedi they still thought about their pockets first. As I'm sitting there getting my feet done I thought I saw sandy brown salt grain or dirt in the spa thing ok I didn't think of anything. Until boom the 4 pedi spas to my left starting filling up with poop I'm serious when I say this. It was disgusting. Then I see a plumber come in look at it out some liquid behind the seat next to me I guess the main pipe. They just continue to work our feet. Never again.

Well... let me start by saying I have been going here for many years now and always had a wonderful experience. but, the onetime I have a problem and they are only concerned about themselves and their money. They don't care about the customer and their hard earned money, it's all about them. I was thrown off and will never go back there again. I went to family nails in January to get a mani, pedi, eyebrows done. I always drop 100 each time I go there easily. Well this particular time I said I would like the Callous remover please, I had dry feet but not to bad. The young lady that did my feet was really trying to do a good job she did not mean to cut me but she did and very bad. I was going on vacation and I couldn't put my shoes on or even walk for over a month. I am diabetic so it's dangerous for us bc infection sets in before it can heal on our feet. On my vacation I could not go with my family to the excursions we paid for. I called Tina while on vacation and told her that she he cuts were bad and she said I am sorry when you come back I will take care of you. So the day I got back from I went to family nails and showed them the cuts. This was a week later so Tina told me she would take care of me next time I came in and I said ok. Meanwhile, I had to go to the doctors to get checked and get medicine for my feet for the cuts. So finally at the end of march I call Tina and ask if I could come in for mani pedi and eyebrows. She said to come down, so this is where I get upset, they gave me the same girl, that's bc they said she's the one who did it so she will be the one not to get paid. Did not ask me if that was ok with me because some people have severe anxiety about stuff like that. So I paid attention and she was very careful this time. I tipped this girl Both times by the way I am not that way bc she was doing a service for me and tried to do a good job. So, when it came time to pay Tina did charge me for nails and eyebrows. I was shocked and hurt. The pain n money I lost meant nothing to her for what one of her employees did, she actually said the girls work hard for the money, that's where I had to say enough bc she only worried about themselves not what I went through. They are lucky I didn't get badly infected and loose a foot or something. Tina should have said they were picking the bill up for the day. But no, she said you know the girls work for their money. Uh excuse me Last I checked my money is important to me too and I earned it as well. Anyway, when something serious happens they turn their heads away otherwise yes they do a great job. I will miss going their but I can't go somewhere where you honestly are not valued as a person who earns their hard earned money to have a luxury of gets my nails done every week. I won't waste my money there again! Already told my family to please don't get me gift card their anymore.

Yesterday was my first time coming here! And let me tell you it's definitely my new go to now, I got seated right away and I showed the girl exactly what I wanted and she did absolutely amazing! Very clean , polite , and great service!!!

Absolutely terrible I called on ten phone prior to going to the store, I get there and she Tells me they are too busy and the looks of disgust she gave me and didn't even give me the chance to ask for an appointment but at that point after staying excuse and asking for it I said nvm they don't deserve my money, they are homophobic by the way! She said it all with the way she looked at me. If you're gay don't come here respectfully save yourself the trip go down go Sparkling Nail Spa right down the road, absolutely the best !!!
