Forest is super friendly. The place is in great condition. We got a free upgrade. Super close to Yosemite.

I have some negative reviews for the black and latina receptionists during my stay.

But I decided not to write the negative review after meeting the nice old lady every morning for breakfast. I even gave her tip. She needs to train the receptionists.

We had a wonderful stay. Right from the start you get a sense of the lay of the land. Very clean, attentive staff, and easy access. Our room was clean and had plenty of amenities. Super comfy bed, wonderful waterfall shower, and everything you'd need for an enjoyable stay. The hot breakfast provided had everything you would want, that included: Organic scrambled eggs: sausages; turkey sausages; a variety of breads; yogurt; fresh fruit; and a selection of beverages. The staff were very attentive under the demands, and did a wonderful job. Though it may be considered pricey, you definitely get your money's worth.

Pretty average hotel and exactly what you'd expect from the Marriott Bonvoy family. The rooms came equipped with standard furniture, such as beds, a bench, TV, fridge, microwave, desk and chair, etc. The mattresses themselves were okay, but the pillows were beyond uncomfortable and way too soft. I literally had body aches after just one night of sleep! Housekeeping is apparently no longer standard, so we actually had to request it - only to find out they didn't have availability, so we never got our room cleaned once throughout our stay.

On the bright side, they do include a complimentary breakfast buffet with your stay; however, they had fewer options than most hotel buffets I've been to and they kept running out of items. They had eggs, sausage, veggie sausage, dry cereal, yogurt, milk, oatmeal, bagels, toast, prepackaged muffins, bananas, apples, coffee and tea - but half the time, they didn't have eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, bananas or coffee. It was pretty wild, but I believe the staff was definitely trying their best to keep up. Perhaps we just came on a really busy weekend!

Overall, we were satisfied with the overall experience of the hotel. Parking was easy and plentiful. The lobby was especially great for hangouts, as we really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and dining together! You also can't beat the location, as Oakhurst is a great area to stay in and is developed enough so you have a decent selection of mainstream restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations and more nearby. Would probably stay here again if I was in the area, although I sure wish they would do something about their pillows!

We checked in and were given an ADA Compliant room, despite reserving a regular King room. We asked if we could swap to a regular King room with a walk in shower, but were told there weren't any available. After we went upstairs and unpacked, they then offered to swap our room. We decided since it was late and we had already settled to stay. The shower curtain was stained and dirty. There's no full length mirror.. which was extra surprising since this room is designed to accommodate those who might use a wheelchair.
Our blinds were broken and would only lower about a third of the way. Our room overlooked the parking lot and the noise was pretty loud.
If you want breakfast, you need to be down there before 0745. They have typical hotel breakfast, but the waffles are packaged individually. Seems like they don't restock- so once it's gone, that's it.
We stayed 2 nights, but ended up checking out early to stay somewhere else. There are 3 newish hotels built side by side. Our friends stayed at the Hampton Inn next door and it was much nicer.
