Envy in Bellingham, WA

I followed the Yelp reviews for Deirdre to Envy and was so happy with my experience here! It's a hip, comfortable salon with a little dog to greet you at the door. Deirdre herself was amazing!! I had a general understanding of the colors I wanted and she was able to read my mind and deliver even more than I hoped for! She turned my streaky foil job into beautiful balayage and then painted a gorgeous teal over the ends of that. The best colorists turn hair into art and Deirdre totally delivered. She's also incredibly affordable and just a fun person to be around.

Getting ready to make an appointment for a cut and color with Deirdre at Envy. I discovered her when she was at another salon about 5 years ago, and I haven't even CONSIDERED going elsewhere since. She is what every stylist should strive to be. She listens to you when you tell her what you want, she is able to actually turn that into a reality, and, if what you want isn't realistic (Hi, I have dyed black hair, I want platinum hair TODAY!!), she will let you know WHY and work with you to achieve a result that will have you walking out of the salon feeling absolutely goddesslike. I'm as fickle as it gets with everything including but not limited to salons. It says a LOT that Deirdre has been my "one and only" since our first appointment together.

I followed Deirdre to Envy via a couple of other salons, and I really enjoy the atmosphere compared to the others. The super-secret loft station is way cool, but best of all is the mad styling Deirdre provides. Second best is her chairside manner. Only the quirkiest gossip and random anecdotes to make the fantastic cut & color appt speed by. Seriously, if you want a multi-talented and inspired artist to work some magic, make the call!

I've been so fortunate to have found the stylist of my dreams! Deirdre is amazing with hair. Since I was little I've dreaded having my hair cut (or permed-- yes I was that 80's teen). So when Deirdre cut my hair for the very first time (7+ years ago) I was mystified, because she did so taking both my face & head shape into consideration, which no one had ever done. I feel like she is a lion-tamer, my hair being the lion that needs a good taming every couple of months. I've since ventured into foils & all-over color. She uses amazing products, my hair is always so soft & manageable when I leave the studio. and style?!! Let's just say that she may be a mind reader & will bring out the very best in your 'doo. I always get compliments, from friends, co-workers and recently some lady in the airport who stopped me to say "I love your haircut!" Envy is a beautiful, comfortable salon. Cozy, natural lighting with a very inviting loft. Plus easy parking. Check it out!

Ok, first off Dierdre is AMAZING! She's been making my hair look incredible for several years now. She just relocated to Envy, and I couldn't be happier with the new location. Beautiful salon with a chic rustic vibe. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in and offered something to drink while I waited. Super friendly staff. Very impressed. Dierdre did an absolutely stunning cut and color! I seriously can't stop admiring my hair. It even looked fabulous this morning when I rolled out of bed! If you are looking for a super rad hairstylist, I highly highly recommend Dierdre!
