The hair stylist JBS hair, or Johanna, is one of the few stylist in the area that is certified to do IBE (invisible bead extensions). I had found Johanna through IBE's website and booked an appointment with her.

Johanna is very active on social media, I followed her work and she seemed online like a genuinely kind person. Upon booking I was very excited to finally be able to meet her and build a client relationship with

I arrived ten minutes before my appt, as I do not like to keep anyone waiting, she had two clients at once ( a double booking) that was the first red flag, I for one do not like to be double booked because usually (and not every stylist is like this) but stylist tend to feel rushed or pressured by having two clients at once, Johanna did have an assistant but even with assistants one still feels rushed. So on this day with my consultation she triple booked herself. With three clients, and her being one stylist, I'm sorry but somebody is going to get the short end of the stick. It's just a natural thing.

Johanna completely pre judged me, She looked at my hair and asked me if my hair was curly or wavy (it was blown out straight that day) I told her it was wavy but I never wore it in its natural state ever, she explained that she didn't "work with my texture of hair" that was red flag number two, my texture of hair isn't even difficult to work with it's basically straight and if you ask any other hair stylist no hair stylist would ever make you feel bad about your hair texture or tell you they only work with certain types of hair textures. Very unprofessional, and it also said a lot about her hair styling abilities, she explained her clients all had straight hair and her extensions were only straight hair extensions, she's only hurting herself by excluding people based on hair texture.

But she didn't stop there, she proceeded to study my hair and asked me what color I wanted and she explained I would need a cut and asked me if I wanted a keratin treatment which is exactly what I wanted. However she then asked me what my budget was which kind of took me off guard because I had done my research and already knew what hair she used the prices and how much she charged ( little does she know I was referred by someone she styles) she quoted me almost $6,000 dollars for JUST the hair not including the cut, color or keratin treatments or the instal. red flag number three I felt like she didn't want to do my hair and just threw an outrageous number out there.

She then asked me what I did for a living, as if that was relevant to the hair appointment I told her what company I worked for and her attitude slightly perked up which was another red flag which also told me she was in fact pre judging me.

I booked with her for a color appointment and explained I would need a few hours to decide what type of Investment I wanted to make with my hair. She was fine with that and then explained she couldn't see me for two months for color and almost three months for an install. Which again I was fine with because my hair is my biggest insecurity and i just wanted to feel like myself again.

I never got the chance to actually cancel, or reach out about what length of hair I wanted so that I could buy the hair because Johanna personally text me stating she was no longer accepting new clients at this time and that it was nothing personal, she literally could have said any other reason but she told on herself by stating it was nothing personal, it obviously was. Why make that comment to a client or a potential future client if it wasn't personal? She never even offered to service me in the future, she never said "hey when I open my books up I can give u a call" no, Instead she referred me to someone else which whom I never contacted because if this is what IBE hair extensions is about I didn't want to spend any money or time dealing with any of their stylist which Johanna also bragged about how great the community was. I cannot tell.

Johanna to this day still has on her website a new client sign up she clearly takes new clients but she just didn't want to deal with my hair, Stylist have told me Johanna likes "easy" clients, clients with straight hair she can get in and out of her chair, clients she can double and triple book. When you go to her website to book she has "rules" of the types of things she doesn't accept as in conversations and mannerism of clients. But she does not practice these rules herself. I broke none of her rules btw. But,She has made me feel like an ugly duckling and shamed me for my hair texture.

Best and most personable nail salon in Mandeville. Always greeted and treated nicely.

The best nail salon I have ever been to. Tram, Peanut, & MJ are absolutely wonderful nail technicians. They provide a clean and luxurious environment. Seem to always go above & beyond for their clients. I would highly suggest this establishment.

After 8 pandemic months of (poorly) doing my own pedicure a friend mentioned she'd been blown away by the precaution measures being taken at EMME. I hesitantly booked an appt.

Didn't have my appointment on the book.  They "squeezed me in" a half hour after my appointment.

I had acrylic nails done.  Sloppy.  Tech didn't file under nail tip to remove excess acrylic.  Also, didn't not paint the tips of the nails.  I left with acrylic dust all over my hands. I've included pictures.  

They get points for social distancing and following most Covid mandate, but not worth it for a sloppy nail job.
