I've been going to Shirley Stratton for over a year and have been consistently impressed by her coloring, cutting and styling skills. Shirley never rushes and is meticulous every step of the way. I get compliments from friends and strangers (even when I don't "do" my hair!) and have referred coworkers and friends to this salon. I had a fabulous hairdresser in Los Angeles/Pasadena for many years and he would agree that Shirley is a talented expert and one of Colorado's best kept secrets. Note that the salon recently moved about five minutes south (from Monument to Colorado Springs) and is now off of Northgate Blvd, across from all the new shops and restaurants. (CB Potts, Bass Pro Shop, etc.) Elevation Salon is really close to Flying Horse Ranch, Air Force Academy, Compassion International and Briargate, making it convenient for anyone who lives or works in these areas. I actually like this new location better as it is close to Starbucks, which means I can get a hot beverage in the drive-thru and still make it my hair appointment on time after work. :)
This salon took my last post down. I want people to Know they don't stand by their word. I had bought a coupon book they solicited at my place of business. Since then I misplaced it, and according to their manager they have NO RECOLLECTION of me ever buying it, and I had to have coupon book to make an appointment to get the deal. I just wanted a simple trim! And thought I was getting a deal, but it was a scam.
Shirley makes my hair look as healthy as it did 50 years ago before hair color. And her cuts always lead to good hair days whether I leave it natural and wavy or blow and straighten it That's always my measure of a great cut. I leave her salon feeling great the way I do when I spend time with my besties and family. Love this place and would never choose another salon.
