I went to this salon a few weeks ago
I didn't like that I was told a price $85 for color and cut and was charged about $240 ..the main issue I have is the price wasn't put up anywhere and wasn't mentioned to me at all until I had to pay up. For $240 this wasn't worth it..the stylist was ok, but definitely for $240 I'd expect much more ..NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN ..FALSE ADVERTISING.

Jennifer Hernandez knows how to cut hair, hands down.  She fixed a bad cut that I received from Orbit.   I gave them a chance to fix it and still wasn't happy.  Went to Jennifer for a super short cut that she nailed.  She has a great personality to boot!  I highly suggest trying her out!

I'm going to be honest. In all the years that I've patronized the Lakeview area, I've never noticed this shop. My ignorance continued until I happened to pick up a promotional flyer for a special on shellac manicures while having breakfast at Birmingham Breadworks. It had been almost a year since I had a manicure or pedicure so I figured why not. I made an appointment for a Thursday morning and drove on over for my appointment. Parking wasn't bad and I was able to find a spot right out front. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by one of the stylists who offered me a refreshment and informed me that Dawn, the owner, and my stylist, would be there soon enough. She arrived soon after and dug right into my manicure and pedicure. She even took the time to learn a bit about me before she started and took the time to explain what exactly a shellac manicure was. When I say my hands and feet were bad, I would be lying because they were TERRIBLE. Dawn took the time and extra care to really give me a complete mani/pedi that left me feeling like a million bucks.

I LOVE Dragonfly Salon and Boutique. It's full of lovely women, who take the time to get to know you and give you great service. Get out there and support local business, give Dragonfly Salon and Boutique a try!

I first met Dawn, owner, While eating at taco Tuesday across the street. Being new in town we struck up a conversation very easily and she asked me if I had a hairstylist yet, and I told her no, and she told me to Come in. since she was so friendly I decided to give it a shot. I went in and she sat me down with Jennifer, who was awesome!
I think that this may be one of the best haircuts I've ever had in my life. Jennifer was a previous teacher at Aveda institute and a long time hairstylist and really knows what she's doing. The haircut took a little long and in the middle I was kind of skeptical, but once she was done I was totally satisfied with the result. She cut the perfect fade into my hair at the perfect length and knew exactly what looked great on me without really having to tell her anything . She was detail oriented and made sure every single last strand of hair on my head was where it should be. I'm going to look great this weekend at my best friends wedding!
GREAT JOB! I'll definitely be going back again!
