WHERE AFRO HAIR GOES TO DIE! Damaged hair, it won't even revert back to natural curls. If I could give 0 stars or even -5 I would. Before I booked it I asked if they do my kind of hair, natural Afro hair. I was told yes they do it all the time, I asked if they use a hair protectant spray for the blow out and straightening. They said yes, I specifically said if you don't let me know now because I don't want any damage. She insisted they won't straighten my hair without it. I got there and there was a lady who didn't speak English. The other one called and said she's explained everything to her and she's good at doing natural hair. First of all, the deep conditioning was awful, they asked me to get out of the dryer after 5-10mins?! I insisted I'll stay longer. The got 1/2 way through my hair before I realised she was spraying olive oil and literally frying my hair. After all that, the blow out and flat ironed hair lasted 4hours!! This salons damaged my hair, I told them and the saw my message and ignored it. Never again! God forbid, such rubbish service and attitude for the money.

Have had my very fine hair braided here twice and it came out great both times. I'm going to have to pay attention next time they lay my edges (crazy baby hairs) because it comes out looking amazing and neat.

The owner of the salon needs to understand customer etiquette. If you are not aware, here are some tips: Do not engage in lengthy conversations with other customers while providing service to another customer. It is a distraction. Concentrate on what you are doing when tending to a customer. Mistakes can happen and did happen when I visited your shop. When using a relaxer with lye, pay very careful attention to what you are doing. Conversations with your homeys can lead to mistakes and oversight. This is what happened when I was at your shop. Lye accidentally spilled into my eye. Understand the corrective action that needs to be taken when mistakes are made. Understand the basic first aid when it comes to relaxer burns. Be consistent in charging your customers. Dominicans should pay the same price as others. Otherwise it is called discrimination. By the way I am from Puerto Rico.
