Divine Nail Studio in Highland Park, IL

My pedicure was done nicely and the lady took her time to clean my cuticles and ingrown toenails. For my hands I only had a nail polish change and she did a nice job. One thing that stood out - she asked me to wash my hands after she removed the nail polish, something that I have not done in a long time. In the past few years I have been to several nail salons and they all are doing a wet towel rather then asking you to get up and wash your hands. Not that I mind that much, it's just not common anymore.

I am a Highland Park local and know a bunch of friends who get their nails done at divine and they have really cool designs but unfortunately when I got my nails done today, I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had a nail salon I made an appointment for 1:15 and I was told I had to wait an hour when I got there. Had to wait another 30 minutes until the woman finished up another clients nails which was annoying but I was OK with it and let it be and didn't say anything when I finally start getting my nails done she puts on a nail very crooked, and I told her that it was crooked, and if she could fix it her way of fixing it was just making it substantially shorter and kept filing it down and it didn't do anything because the nail is still crooked and the acrylics that they do there It's not an actual acrylic it's just a Nail and since they're a no actual acrylic the nail scratches me to the point where it like it might draw blood because of how pointy the edges are. The woman said that her daughter was out of work that day so that could be why the quality was bad, but the service was just unacceptable and they should've just been closed down. the woman sitting next to me as well was having a very difficult time with the workers because they were removing her nail polish, her dip, nail polish incorrectly, and left acetone on her nails for about an hour to the point where they started to burn it was very unprofe

Went in with an appointment for acrylic nails. The one worker inside told me that the women who does acrylics was not in and she could do gel x for me. I showed her an image of exactly what I wanted. My nails ended up long and mishapen. When I asked her to file the nails down more, the woman told me I was too much work and became angry. She filed parts of my skin around my nails until they bled. I was charged $10 more than what was shown online. Space was somewhat clean though. I wanted to like this place as I had been recommended it, but after my experience I'm definitely never coming here again.

Very disappointed with this salon. I REALLY wanted to like it as I try to patronize downtown business. I went in for a dip manicure on Tues and my nails were visibly cracked in a day and had actually cracked in two days (see photo). All but one mail is cracking . I was headed out of town so unable to get it fixed.

Walked in greeting everyone and with a smile to receive no response asking what services they offered the lady looked at my nails and acted uninterested (I guess I had taken her attention off her phone for a second-- oops?) then another young lady steps up and I ask what specific nail services they offer since vey place is different she rudely tells me I should look online, crazy how kindness + attentiveness truly goes a long way needless to say I walked out the door.
