This review is for Laura. For the last 17 years, I had the same hairdresser. I recently moved 121 miles from her, so I had to find someone as good as her and someone I liked. I thought this would be impossible because she is an excellent hair dresser, personable, and has worked at some of the best hair salons in Maryland before opening her own salon, but I was wrong. (Of course, no one will ever be able to totally replace her, but I've found someone pretty close.) In addition to the great products and services they offer at reasonable prices, I like the fact that it is a small and friendly salon with hair stylists that continue to update their technical knowledge and stay current with the latest trends. Being heavily involved with animal charities, I was also impressed with the owner and hair stylist, Laura Majeczky, who is an animal lover like myself. How many hair salons offer you the opportunity to have your hair styled while holding a cat or petting a dog? My former hairdresser understood me well and knew my likes and dislikes. I had gotten used to that, and I feared I would not be able to communicate it well to someone new. To help me describe the style I was interested in, I brought in pictures to show Laura, and I verbally modified them to fit my needs. Laura is very friendly, patient, talented, and great at paying attention to details. She truly listens to what you say and is able to cut and color your hair the way you want it.
