My daughter 12y/o wanted highlights and this was her first hair color. Danielle is amazing! The color and cut was so natural and subtle. She received so many compliments and was so happy with the color and style. I Highly recommend Danielle at David Michael Hair Studio.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! I wish I could give this salon a 0 star review, truly. I have gotten my hair done from an artist there in October 2020. She did a great job with my highlights and left me in awe. I was recommending everyone I knew to her, I was singing her praises. I even took my own aunt (who lives in NY) to this place. I made her come here for HAIR. Fast forward to July 1 2021. My cousin was getting married and I needed my hair done really nice. My hair was grown out. The artist I went to claims it is was 6 inches, maybe there was but it didn't seem like it to me because the highlights from the previous job were still pretty high. I told her I want a full head of highlights, and I want them the same color as I want them last time. She kept talking about how much regrowth I had and that the salon usually doesn't allow this much regrowth to be worked on (which i found so odd) but that she would do it for me anyway. I was pleased that she would do my hair because I liked her work... ALOT. I didn't get my hair blow dried because I was going to do it myself and see and feel the hair because I like my hair done a certain way and no one can achieve the look on yourself the way you would know. And I don't know what it is about salon lighting, but everything looks great under it. So I am like okay it looks good. It wasn't something that I was absolutely in love with but I thought maybe I don't like it because it my hair is still wet. I get home and I'm trying to blowdry my hair and it's YELLOW. I asked for neutral toned hair, and I came back with YELLOW. There was no blending done in the highlights, the bleach bled everywhere, my hair strands were making me look like a zebra. I messaged the artist and she was like come back tomorrow and we will fix it. I show up the next day, July 2 2021, and first thing's first I spoke to the manager and asked for a 50% refund because this was ridiculous but at the same time I felt bad that she spent so much time and effort on my hair so I thought it was reasonable to ask for 50% and I got it to. I went to the artist after speaking to the manager and she has an attitude with me. Acting like she doesn't see what I am talking about, being weird about the 3-4 places I showed her that were looking bad. And at the end of it I was like, "Please take a comb and look through the layers of my hair. Look at the bled bleach that is on my hair and look at the chunkiness and the look of it." And she see does that and goes, "Ah, I see what you're talking about. But I don't know how this happened. You see, you had a lot of regrowth." And I cut her off, like excuse me??? Me having regrowth does not mean you botch my hair. But she said she was going to fix it. And she did - only the parts that were very visible. She fixed the parts that were on top of my head, but anything in the layers of my hair was still the same. She fixed the tone of my hair so I was okay with that but I didn't realize she didn't thoroughly fix my hair. She made sure that I was so satisfied, she was giving me their top hair mask services, and blow drying and cutting my hair, making sure I was as happy as could be. When I left the salon, I was satisfied and I thought everything was great, but boy was I wrong. I am in California now, I am getting my hair done by hair stylists because I am the (technically) sister of the groom and I am front and center and I was having all these intricate hair styles done on me, but every time I sat in the chair of the hairstylist, they said "I can't do this hairstyle because your highlights are is chunky from within and there are so many harsh lines that it will show and it will look bad." So the entire wedding, I WORE MY HAIR ONE WAY. Straight or blow-dried. I was there for about 2.5 weeks so I couldn't even come back and get it fixed again because I had been gone for quite a while. So six months down the road i feel like a review is needed of this place that states their magic sleek treatment is amazing. I got the treatment on october 29th 2020 and this was the second time i had this treatment (initially from my regular hair dresser who was not doing it this time due to covid). Three months after the treatment i got here it was completely removed and my hair was falling at a rate i have never seen after treatment (yes i have tried a few from keratin to this). When i was getting the treatment i was sold into buying the shampoo and conditioner stating that it would make it last longer. I called the salon that day to complain and got the dresser saying oh youre hair is probably growing fast. It needs a re touch NOTE- my hair does not grow at all. Something i always have trouble with... ive triee oils creams everything to get it to grow but for some reason it doesnt so you can understand the frustration and fact that their statement is wrong! fast forward to today may 7th 2021 i went to get straightening done again at my regular place and asked about what happened. The dresser said ive done as much remedy as i can during straightening but they damaged and over processed your hair which is why from the remainder of the hair that is already processed onwards the frizz is still there and its not shiny. The new hair growth looks fabulous but you can see the difference between the new treatment and the old. You may have to still use a blow dryer to smoothen it out and serum etc to make it look the same. So basically after having treatment done for the wish i dont want to blow dry or iron my Hair, i still need to do this because of david Michael's incompetence and treatment. THE SALON CLAIMED THEY WERE AMAZING AT WHAT THEY DO! Rubbish. Not the truth.... i made a mistake trying something new due to reading good reviews.... please do not waste your money here. They will charge you for everything they can, ruin your hair and if you have hair like mine it takes months and months to repair.... i am still bearing the brunt of their over treatment and upset about it since my hair like most women is really Important to me!

it has been 4 years since I have been coming to this salon and my review absolutely deserves an update. I initially came here to see Narine for balayage after a referral and a stalk of her instagram page. I have never had my hair colored before because I was afraid that bleaching it would ruin its texture. after some discussion, we decided that over the course of 3 or 4 appointments we'd slowly lighten my hair to the color I wanted. It took time (and patience) and I can honestly say that I LOVE my hair color. My biggest fear was that I'd lose length and fullness in my hair after bleaching it but my hair has stayed thick and long all while getting blonder. I am lighter than I ever thought I could get and I am obsessed. I know this is only because of Nari's expertise and tips. She is worth the wait! Nobody else has cut or colored my hair since I found her - she is as good of a person as she is a coiffure Every member of the David Michael studio team, at every level, is truly amazing. They are all positive and helpful. They really remember you and care about their clients. No matter how busy the salon is, they take care of their customers. If someone is running late, they'll call you beforehand and let you know instead of letting you wait in the salon. They are courteous, helpful, and friendly. What more could I ask for? COVID REVIEW: I have become a homebody ever since the pandemic started but I did go to David Michael for a color and a cut. For years I knew they kept the salon in pristine condition so I trust that they would go above and beyond to follow guidelines and keep the salon sanitized. They truly staggered their schedule so the salon wasn't as busy as it was usually. They do temperature checks, questionnaires, provide PPE for their clients, and disinfect everything promptly. I felt like I was in good hands and they they took everyone's health very seriously. Everyone is masked, distant, and fabulous! conclusion - I don't know what hesitation you might have to coming here but throw caution to the wind and schedule that appointment! thank me later

So they are being prudent and minimizing contacts by not washing their client's hair, and not blow drying hair, YET the cost for a cut is the same as before, PLUS $6 for providing a paper cape (like at the ob/gyn) and spraying the chair?!?!
