Davi Nails in Huber Heights, OH

This place is a joke I took my wife Brenda there..they did not use a hot towel, they were more concerned about WAtching t.v than giving pedi and mani. They werent the friendliest and not professional at all...i am a veteran cosmetologist of 27 yrs. So I know what a good service is And this isnt at all good service...its obvious they just dont care instead of giving it the best they have and fall a little short that is atleast acceptable ..to know they are trying... Wont go back id rather pay double and get my wife good service..

I've been going to DaVi nails for over two years. I usually get the mood change nail polish. The last time I got a color that should've been gray when cold and pink when hot, instead the color was gray when cold and peach/coral when hot. The nail technician did a subpar job on my nails and when I told him the color on the bottle did not match my nail color and that I didn't like it, he told me not to get that color anymore. Today I went back and got another mood change polish. Again, the color did not match the bottle. What really pissed me off is that before the nail technician started to paint my nails, he told me once the color is on my nails, I could not change it. He stated that he didn't want to take the color off of all ten nails and start over. I asked him to paint one nail so that I can see if the color matches the bottle, he wouldn't do that. He told me to pick any color I wanted but once the color was on, that was it. This annoyed me because they were already discussing me before he painted my nails. Apparently, the last nail technician told him of our previous encounter and this nail technician felt it was appropriate to tell me that he would not change the color after my nails were painted. Either they are adding too much polish thinner (WHICH I HAVE SEEN THEM DO BEFORE) and it changes the color or the polish is old and the color isn't what is represented on the bottle. Whatever it is, it is in poor taste and bad customer service to talk about your clients in front them in a different language. After all is said and done, I guess I won't be going back to this nail salon again. Too bad because I liked having my nails done there.

Went for toe polish and they tried to charge me $16 when the board clearly states $10. "Board is wrong. It $12.99 plus $2.99 to trim" No one told me that before hand and I said that I was not happy and would never return. Then the gal starts talking to all of the other workers about what I'd said in Vietnamese. They're all cackling back & forth for a good 5 minutes, then the gal apologizes that she should have forewarned me about the trim charge. What about the $10 on the board? It wrong! More cackling amongst the workers. Switching back to English she tells me she's wants me to be happy and will only charge $12.75. Fine, I say, but I will never be back. Takes my credit card and the manager finally decides to come over. Wraps her arm around me and tells me she wants me to be happy. Sorry, lady, never coming back again... Word of advice if you should decide to go, get the pricing up front. Me, I'll stick with the girls at Davi's on N Dixie. They don't upcharge or berate you in another language.

The WORST nail salon EVER!! I went for a full set and the man barely spoke English. He did a very sloppy job and over-filed my nails on the sides. He also filed most of them crooked, so one side of the nail was longer than the other. A few of my nails were not even fully covered on the sides with acrylic. He also charged me extra and I couldn't get him to explain why. I decided I would give them one more try because they are in a convenient location (inside Walmart). I can usually go over a month on a new full set but I needed a fill-in after about 2 weeks. This time I got a female nail tech so I was hoping for a better experience. It is the worst fill-in I have ever gotten. First of all, she did not even put the acrylic all the way to the base of my nails close to the cuticles. She also filed my nails crooked. They look horrible. I already need a fill-in after just a one day. In my over 15 years of getting my nails done, NEVER has anyone clipped or cut my cuticles. This lady grabbed her clippers and before I realized what she was doing she had clipped and ripped my cuticle to the quick. My finger is red and swollen and is still hurting. The fill-in was supposed to be $16 but for some reason she charged me almost $20. She too didn't speak English so I had a very hard time communicating with her. I have been to many different salons here and in other states also and have never experienced anything like this. I wanted to give this review to tell people to please stay FAR away from this place. I wish I had known how horrible this place is. BEWARE!!!

This is my go to salon for manicures and pedicures! David is my absolute favorite person!! All I have to do is text him (on his personal phone) and he will set me up with an appointment the same day usually within an hour. He is funny and creative. He has also been able to copy every single picture I have brought him and even added his own creative flair. I have a full set of acryclic nails with a gel layover currently. I promise you that despite the other shady reviews with their poor language and grammar; you won't be disappointed by him or the customer service you receive for the others at the salon.
