I fly from Utah to this salon every 3-4 months cause they are THE BOMB! Hands down, best curly salon I have ever been to. They have years and years of "Best Of" award plaques on the wall... need I say more! If you're wondering- DO IT ALREADY!

Tayslie is phenomenal. I haven't had a hair cut in over 2 years, however I really try to take care of the health of my hair beyond that. I've had quite a few sad haircuts, and it takes a lot of time for me to feel comfortable enough to go back. I've been following Curly Hair Studio and Tayslie for 6+ months if that tells you anything.
Finally had enough of my split ends, and decided to book. Their online booking system was easy enough to maneuver around and they checked in multiple times during the days leading up to make sure that slot still worked for me.
Tayslie and her assistant, Katie, were insanely kind and knowledgeable. I explained my entire thought process behind what I wanted, and not only did they meet my expectations, they exceeded them. I actually have never had a haircut experience like this before. I just WANT to show it of.
I will absolutely continue to book here. Amazing stylists, products, and quality service!

DO NOT GO HERE. Horrible salon. They cut my hair all uneven, so I didn't want to go there anymore. When I tried to cancel my appointment online the day before it doesn't let me cancel less than 48 hours in advance. So, they charged me $100 cancellation fee because they had my credit card information on file. That's more than the crappy haircut! Apparently, that cancellation policy was in a contract I signed. Why do we need a contract? It's a haircut. And a crappy one at that. Wish I could give them negative stars. Their 5 stars is obviously bull.

Very disappointed both with the hair services and the customer service overall. Wouldn't recommend to anyone with ethnic hair.

Hi, I am editing my review because I am unsure how to just reply to the business's comment. I have been taking my niece to see Leslie Joe here at curly hair studios for a few months. We had been satisfied with her haircuts so far, so we felt comfortable trying a color service. She really wanted to get her hair ombré colored with a bright red hue. We arrived for our appointment 15 minutes early, but our appointment did not begin until 30 minutes after the start time. We had sent in a picture of what my niece wanted prior to the appointment and showed Leslie Joe again when we arrived. She confirmed that the color was "bright, fire truck red". However, the result from the hair color service was not ombré at all, nor was it bright red. My niece walked out of the studio after about four hours with an all-over burnt reddish color. We then payed over $300 before a tip. Halfway through the service, Leslie Joe started talking about how people usually come to see her for "natural" hair colors and she doesn't usually do bright colors. That tells me that she was aware that the service was not going well and it wasn't going to turn out the way we asked. I didn't say anything at the time because I wanted my niece (who is 13) to feel confident at school the next day. However, with the amount of money and time we spent on the service, I would have expected her hair to look the way she wanted it to from the beginning. At the very least, it would have been considerate for Leslie Joe to lower some of the price since she knew it was not what we asked for. She then had us book follow up appointments for the hair color, which was described as "all over red". That further tells me that she knew it was not ombré and that it was not what we asked for. However, since we had been satisfied with just the haircuts before, we decided to avoid color services here and just do the haircuts.

The next time we had a haircut, I was notified a few hours before that I had a covid exposure and called to reschedule. The receptionist informed me we would have a $50 charge if we cancelled. I told them that I felt that was unfair and I was repeatedly told "this is our policy." I was told I could speak to a manager by calling the studio, and I asked if I could speak to one over text so I could have a written record. This request was ignored. Now normally I would agree with this type of policy if 1) we had asked to reschedule late before, 2) it was not a policy that reinforces people risking public health to avoid a late charge, and 3) if I had been treated with respect rather than ignored. It made me feel that the company valued $50 more than my continued patronage. I did pay $50 despite how I was feeling.

Overall, these two experiences combined made me feel devalued and disrespected as a customer. We felt so marginalized that we no longer feel safe at this salon. We found another in Salt Lake that fixed the dye job and made us feel welcome.

I have been going to different stylists at Curly Hair Studio for years. I find budget-friendly haircuts from stylists who are getting hands-on training with Rachel and expert styles from established stylists. They have someone for almost all budgets.
