Cuckoo's Nest Salon in Woodstown, NJ

I was shocked when I opened up the yelp page for the best salon in Salem County... People rarely compliment but love to complain. This place is the best, always has been. Wonderful, friendly salon, and all the stylists are great and super friendly. They do nails, hair and more. Even great for kids, they have two adorable chairs for the kids to sit in (one is a fire truck and one is an airplane). This place is great, you will not regret it. Go here!

If you want orange hair then go to this saloon! Worst color job I have ever seen! They charged a fortune and then refused to fix their botched hair job. They should work with the customer to ensure their happiness! I

I've been going to this salon for at least 20 years. I even stepped away for a short time to go to my cousin in Delaware, but made my way back here because it's a great value and everyone is so sweet. They always have things going on, like they currently are selling fabulous slightly used clothing and awesome home made jewelry....how fun is that to look at while waiting for you color to set in. Great products and my hair gets rave reviews. Plus the price is right! There's nothing perfect in this world, but this place is always fun and they do a great job, so 5 stars for me!

My Hair is my baby, so when I had to leave NC and my pro stylist in the city for a country stylist in 2002, I was hesitant. My mom had already been using Cuckoo's nest, so naturally, (with her beautiful hair) I followed suit. I have had excellent service each and every time. When I had infertility problems, Laura and I would talk. When I finally got pregnant, the salon celebrated with me! Then we celebrated the other 2 that came as a surprise! They even listened when my husband died when pregnant with my last baby and for my birthday, they did my nails (free)! My three kids all had first haircuts at Cuckoo's Nest. They are now 10, 8, and 5. When they ask, the girls get princess glitter and the boy gets spray hair color and gel if he wants. (yes, you have to ask, but its not a inconvenience to the stylist, cause not every mom wants their son in purple blue or green or pink hair sprayed color, but I don't care) I enjoy the coffee bar when I partake. I love you can purchase goodies (cookies, chocolate covered somethings) and even tho you know the products are for sale, there isn't overly pushing of the product or extra services. I love Christmas at Cuckoo's Nest. You can buy 2 get 1 free haircuts, special deals on massages, on nails, ect. This goes well with my family and I will use on my kids, or give as gifts to my pastor and mom. You may not like how your cut looks every time, I usually do but sometimes I don't because I will have a drastic cut! That is a personal feeling, not reflective of the stylist. The stylist recreates the picture or thought, but Then I may not like it! Haha, that is still not reflective of the stylist. I have to admit I was a bit hesitant making an appointment after reading the previous reviews but I'm glad I ignored them. Abbi was the individual that took care of my mani & pedi and what an experience. Abbi was such a delight, friendly, and gentle. She engaged in conversation instead of ignoring you. It was great to have my nails done by someone I could hear and understand. Abbi made sure I was happy all through the service. I especially like how they do not use the whirlpool type of foot baths but an individual tub that is lined with a disposable liner. I don't have to worry about germs. The owner and other staff were very kind and sweet as well. Even though today was a snowy day and I was the first appointment, they opened on time. I made an appointment at the last minute and was able to get in. I will be getting my nails taken care of here from now on.
