Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids in South Jordan, UT

4.5 star experience for me.  This was our first visit to Cookie cutters and it was really great!  It was fairly easy to make an appointment, I didn't try the app, but the website was having issues so I just called.  
It was my son's first salon haircut and I was feeling pretty nervous about it.  We were a little late, but they took us right back to choose a chair.  It really is geared towards littler kids which I love.  My son was able to watch Mickey Mouse pleasantly while getting his hair cut.  Rachel did a really great job!  She trimmed off little by little checking in with me if it was a good amount or if I wanted her to take more length off.  I loved that!  I felt like she really listened to what I wanted and she knew how to achieve it.  
 It's $19.95 for a kids haircut which felt a little high just because it only took 10 minutes to do, but I was honestly thrilled with Rachel's work and would go back again.
The only thing that really kept me from a 5 star rating was that a few employees I interacted with lacked a little bit of professionalism and one came off as having a little bit of an attitude of not wanting to be there.  I get not being thrilled to work a Saturday, but what can  
The decor is 100% geared toward kids which is great. There is a fun little plastic slide playground thing too.  
It seemed pretty clean, but I was pretty distracted with my son's haircut that I didn't get a super good look around.

I made an appointment. Called and confirmed my appointment. Showed up and they said I didn't have an appointment. I showed them my email confirmation and my appt in the app and they just said sorry we can't take you. I drove 30 minutes each way for nothing. I asked for management info and it took them forever to give me an email address. I emailed And never heard back. Horrible customer service

Scheduled an appointment for our 2.5 year old. We arrived 5 minutes early and were immediately told they were running 20 minutes behind. 30 minutes after the appointment time we were still waiting. When we asked when we should expect to get in we were told we were next, and were given a vague "our scheduling system had an error so our stylist was late". Yet there were only two stylists there, with at least 4 people waiting. After another 15 minutes our son finally was in the chair. The haircut was ok. Seemed to be a bit rushed, and they didn't wash his hair which is what we had booked, no one ever asked us if we wanted his hair washed.

We had ask for time updates, there was no attempt to call us or advise us they were running behind.

This was our first time going here, and it will be our last. The facility is worn, and running over 45 minutes behind with kids is inexcusable.

I'll start off by saying there are some amazing stylists here. Adi being my absolute favorite but seems like she cut back hours. She's really sweet, patient and does a really good job. Brylie also sweet with my son when she's had him and does well as well. Amy can do well when she's not rushing. I booked with a different stylist by the name of Traci for my son last time and she cut his head. I didn't initially notice it when we first left but my son was complaining that his head stung. I looked and sure enough he had a streak of raw bloody skin. I put Neosporin on and I didn't complain this time because some time had already passed. It was a busy day so I let it go and just started taking him to the same barber my husband goes to. I had to make a last minute change to my daughter's haircut appointment and Traci was the only one available at 9. I thought well my daughter's not getting a fade so she should be fine. Just a cut and braid. Nope. I was mistaken. Her bangs looked like they were cut almost into a v shape and her braid was nothing like the picture I had provided. When we addressed this, we were told the braid will loosen up and be fine. No its a different style. I spoke with Amy and she became upset. Amy stated I was difficult, not to call back, threaten to talk to the owner about not taking us back (despite knowing I already have a 70 gift card that I purchased for future uses that would be wasted if I don't use it), that I should look for another place to go, doesn't want to hear from me today so don't call back or come in, and hung up on me. I've been going here for 6 years! I've complained on one other occasion and again didn't even call to complain the last time when she cut my son yet she has the audacity to say I'm difficult. This place is in need of new management since clearly Amy can't conduct herself professionally or respectfully.
