Brilliant small business, with a layout that means you're able to relax, have a conversation with your stylist, and then enjoy attentive and clearly experienced work. Firstly, love that they have (limited) parking and the wait area is separate from the salon so people chatting aren't disturbing those being styled. Stylist Catherine met me with a gracious smile and listened carefully to what I was needing done, talked me through product and her plan, and then got to work. Relaxing time and clearly if you dont want to chat they're okay with that. Also very clear that they wanted my decision on what was okay and what was not - when I hesitated they were already attentive enough to double check before proceeding and I appreciated that. Afterwards asked for some info on products to help my hair health and to build a better routine and they did not push a whole line of product on me but suggested one product. I opted to buy more as I wanted the line, but it was nice to not feel like "if you want to have healthy hair you need to spend $100 on product" Very happy customer and I've already given a referral to a local family member who has been looking for a reliable and not overly commercialized salon. I got a spa pedicure from Aleah today and I loved it so much! She was so sweet, kind and caring... and really made me feel special during my entire pedicure service. A little bit about the pedicure... -You get to soak your feet in a copper tub, while relaxing on a comfy couch. You are offered water, tea, coffee, etc. for your treatment. -You get your nails worked on... cuticles, buffering, filing, etc. -You get a scrub on your feet and lower legs. -You get a cooling gel mask on your feet and lower legs. And then this mask is wrapped in very warm and soothing towels. -After you relax a little bit with the warm towels, you get your feet filed down a little bit. -You finally end up with your nail painting... and you can even get gel. This is one of my favorite pedicures I have ever received... and I will for sure come back! My only suggestion... incorporate a foot and lower leg massage with the scrub! That would be the cherry on top! :)

It's a very quaint salon, and they treat you like you're their favorite person on the planet. I used to go here regularly, but now all the stylists are young and fresh to their jobs. It felt like my stylist was very tentative about everything, and my cut was technically minimal and, frankly, uneven. True, I could have gone back to even it up, but it didn't feel right.

I got a haircut from Lesly and honestly it's the best haircut in forever! I have really thick hair and she gave me a perfect face frame and layers. She took her time and was really sweet and listened to what I wanted. Definitely recommend her!! Also you get a relaxing head massage before the wash and cut, awesome!

A great find for a wonderful salon experience. When I moved to the area I searched for an Aveda salon and found this amazing spot in EGR. I love that it's in an old house and has the character of the community while still having a relaxing salon environment. I have always been happy with my cut and color and have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The prices seem in line with other salons in GR and I never feel I overpay for what I get. My stylist is Leslie and I trust her to do an amazing job with little direction! It means a lot to be able to trust someone with your hair.
