I only have positive things to say about this salon. I haven't had a professional haircut in about a year due to COVID, so my hair was getting unbearably long. I also wanted to find a salon that was familiar with Asian hair in the area. I booked an appointment a day before coming in, and pricing was explained to me over the phone. For a woman's wash and cut, prices start at $40 and go up depending on length and thickness. There is also parking in the adjacent lot by Men's Warehouse and behind the store plaza. When I arrived for my appointment, I was seated promptly with Estella. She gave my hair a thorough wash, and I told her the length I wanted, but basically gave her free reign with the cut and style. She cut my hair with meticulous attention to detail within the hour (mind you, my hair was more than halfway down my back and very thick) and at the end, said she would only charge me $45. I definitely left a tip, but the service at this salon is great, and the value is unbeatable for this area. I'll definitely be coming back to Central for my future cuts.
My friend recommended me going there asking for Mia, the stylist. She was busy. Stella took care of me. She did a wonderful job trimming the dead end, blew dry my hair in curls. The place is quiet, everyone is super nice with polite smile. I will definitely go back again!!
This review is for the barber as I find there aren't any recent reviews for men's cut. I moved from Los Angeles a month ago where you could find a good Korean barber/hair salons anywhere in a 2 mile radius. Central Hair Salon was the only Korean/Asian barber near White Plains I could find. I'm particular about my barber as my hairline isn't the easiest to work with (receding hairline/thinning hair). Took a chance and walked in and got sat right away. I told the barber exactly what I wanted (short/slight fade on sides and back, just light trim up top & front). He listened, looked over my hair, and went to work. He is careful and his technique is good. Very happy with the cut and it took about 15 min. The price is unbeatable at $20. Super glad I found my new barber.
