Got the haircut I paid for and considering I've gone to "fancy" aka overpriced places here spending twice as much and had terrible cuts, this place is a win for me. All y'all complaining about language barriers sound entitled and racist BTW. I knew where I was going so I brought a picture, if you can't understand an accent or someone's language it is just that easy... bring a picture. She gave me exactly what I asked for. She didn't argue about me getting a "men's cut" like some salons do, she did what I asked and she did it well!
AWFUL. She rushes, nails uneven, polish looks bad, shes rude and talks shit not bothering to think we could possibly speak the same language, over charges if she doesn't like if you ask her to fix HER mistakes. WON'T BE COMING BACK and DO NOT RECCOMEND anyone here.
Combative, condescending, rude as hell. The man scoffed and tried to belittle me for requesting the basic service of trimming my cuticles, when I had come in for a dip manicure, operative word being MANICURE. It's on the fucking menu.
He was sure to tell me that "this is not Anchorage, this is Juneau, we don't do a manicure with dip."
Wow, news to me! I had no idea that geography played such a role in the ability to perform the very common combination of services such as a basic manicure and dip polish.
I made the appointment two days in advance to be as convenient for them as possible. I get it, it was toward the end of his day, he was probably tired, but don't make up some bullshit excuse because you don't feel like doing a service that you have listed in your menu.
I won't be back.
While the haircuts aren't great, the pedicures are nice. The staff is friendly.
The staff is friendly and they go out of their way to make sure you've got a great color that works for you. They're busy and I'm impressed with how they juggle tasks and help each other out when they're slammed. Nice easy location, too.
