Bookmark the site - it isn't on their business cards or voice-mail (yet). Next - the 5 star review is for both Tania and the salon. Tania is talented, well-trained and personable. A triple crown winner. I saw her for the first time for a major hair cut change (long to short). She took the time to listen, analyze my hair foibles and help me make informed decisions. I will definitely go back. The salon is clean, well stocked, stylish and quiet. Maybe a bit hard to find without the GPS but once you find it, it's obvious. The address is the key. Note, it is on the side of the building - not the front which is a nice scrubs store.

We found this place while we were in the middle of a hair emergency. Previously, my mother had had several massively unfortunate hair cuts and this left her in some pretty dire need for a competent hair stylist. Esther was amazing. We got in at the last minute, her intuition around asking the right questions led to a perfect haircut, and her decisions around color created the actual effect that she was looking for. My mom is thrilled to have finally found a good hair stylist. The location is around the left side of the building which can be initially confusing.

I am a hairdresser's nightmare - lots of coarse, wavy hair with unwillingness to spend much time caring for it. In between the salon visits, I would even cut my own hair and only when it has gotten out of hand, I would seek out professional help. The owner, Carlie, was very skilled, artistic, and customer oriented. I was impressed with her precision hair cut with various technique to mitigate my hair problems. She listened to my concerns and came up with the beautiful hair style that worked well with my lifestyle. She also showed me the technique how to dry my hair so that my hair would still look good after I walked out of the salon and managed it for myself. I was not expecting this high quality salon in College Place. I am very pleased that I have discovered this great salon - I will definitely go back to her.

I followed Esther Peterson here from a previous salon. She is an artist in the fullest sense and AMAZING. She's an expert in her area and the only hair stylist I have ever felt comfortable just sitting in the chair and letting do what she thinks would look good. Whenever I have a cut from her my hair falls easily, in the right ways, and continues to for even three months after a haircut. Two other good friends of mine go to her and have the same experience--though they have very different hairstyles. She's a master at figuring out what looks good on a person and how to do what they want done. To add icing to the proverbial cake, Esther is very personable and friendly and works hard to give you the best service. Regarding the salon itself--it is very cute and classy, and has a very personable feel. It's beautifully done inside. The only thing I might change would be to make the salon easier to find by a more prominent or brighter sign--it's a grey kind of sign with just "C" on it, if I remember correctly. But! Once you find it and have your first haircut you won't stop coming back. Unless you move, and then you're at a loss to find someone comparable, like me.

After months and months of calling and trying to make an appointment, I FINALLY got one! I'm not exactly sure why this salon NEVER has anyone there to answer the phone (literally ALL calls go straight to voicemail), but it's very difficult/inconvenient to make an appointment. Sure, you can leave a message, but it's a gamble of whether or not someone will actually return your call. One time I left a message, I finally got a call back.....3 weeks later! Needless to say I had already gone somewhere else to get my hair cut, so it was too late. So, just be warned that calling to make an appointment may be quite difficult... On another note, if you are ever able to get an appointment, it is DEFINITELY worth it!! I was finally able to have my haircut there today and it turned out absolutely perfect! I brought a couple pics in to show what I wanted and also tried to describe what I wanted, and my stylist did exactly what I wanted! I am so pleased with the way my hair turned out! She was very detail-oriented and took the time to make sure it was looking excellent. The environment was nice and relaxed as well. I'm giving a 4-star rating solely for the fact that getting in contact with them is so difficult. The haircut and overall experience I had once I was in the salon is definitely a 5-star experience though!
